Stayed there last nightm have a list of issues. but firstly please note that i have stayed in hundreds of hotels nationwide due to my type of work.
This place is the worst i have stayed in, i knew it was an old hotel, but this was no excuse,
room cold,lifts not working,awful smoke smell in room and it is a non smoking room,black stain on sheet, may have been blood.need good eyesight for super small tv, shower is the worst ever--- i've no words for it.........
Now--breakfast--excellant, dinner very good,except my beef has still twain/rope in it.
WI/fi, but costs €3 for 20mins, very rare this and the big fella at reception had an attitude when i was surprised i had to pay for it---told me that it is standard in hotels----unreal????????he must not get out much.
dinner party for 25 guests, had us all spread out,instead of joinin tables together, mentioned to manager---very defensive from the start, christ i thought i was the customer.
as i said, meals are nice, but just give cutlery a wipe ith cloth.
so overall, after staying in hundreds of hotels and then i hit on this spot, if a place had 2/3 things i didnt like about it, i still wouldnt bother with a review, but this place breaks the record for me---a long list of issues, will nerver step foot in it again and i really hope others dont waste their time/money

From the time we arrived until we left we couldn't have asked for any better attention and care.
We were 3 couples staying for 5 days and upon entering the hotel the greeting was very reassuring that our stay would be a good one. The rooms were spacious and clean and maintained like that throughout our stay. We arrived early and they were only to pleased to book us in and then arranged some food and tea which was excellent.
We decided to take our evening meals in the hotel which were all very good with excellent service and the breakfast was also excellent and a very wide choice.
Throughout our stay nothing was to much trouble and all the staff were dedicated to making our stay a good one and we would not hesitate to recommend to anyone to stay at the West County Hotel as we certainly will in the future

I've stayed here numerous times this year and it never disappoints. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Staff are lovely, very pleasant and helpful.
We have eaten in the bar and the restaurant and the meals have been beautiful.
The hotel is very good value and in a nice location. The decor is a bit dated, as others have said, and from the outside the hotel can look a little bit cold and unwelcoming but inside is a different story altogether. Would definitely recommend it to anybody wanting a few nights stay in Dublin.

the staff were very nice and helpful,

the room was nice and comfortable, slightly dated, like the bar and restaurant, but clean and I was more than happy with my stay, and would not hesitate to stay there again when I am next in dublin, business or pleasure
