great staff here who were helpfull with any information you needed also great to chat with about dublin ect,the apartments themself are modern in style but in a lovely gerogian building ours had a seprate lounge with a little kitchen area they had left some tea/coffee so you could make a drink, the location is just out of the center but it only took us a 15 mins walk and we were right in the main city center there are also some local shops and pubs nearby, would stay here again.

“A Wonderful Find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 May 2010

This is the kind of place I love to find - somewhere so good that I will always check it first on any future trips to Dublin. Got a great rate of 55 euro on Laterooms for an apartment - so I thought that even if it is cramped and not that great, for the centre of Dublin, it's an excellent price. Well, it took my breath away when I got into the room - fantastic, comfortable bed, lovely kitchen area, and flat screen TV with leather sofa. Two wonderful big windows to the front of the building. Maybe I got one of the better rooms, as I saw no others, but it couldn't have been better for the price. I was there for only one night and didn't use the cooking area, but if you were here for longer, it would be so handy. I was at a gig in Leeson Street which was very close and then I shopped the next morning - the hotel let me keep my car in the car park for a while longer. By the way, having the free car park space really adds to the value. Only a short walk to the centre of Dublin - didn't use a taxi all the time I was there. I'll be back. Lovely, friendly people too!

“Great deal for a lot of space in a nice location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2009

I stayed here for four weeks, with some trips out of town in between. The people were super nice. The area is really nice, with some great Georgian architecture, though you will probably get sick of staring at the big bank across the street. I felt safe walking alone from downtown/Grafton Street to Latchfords in the middle of the night. This is a really great place for solo female travellers.

The building is old and the floor boards were a bit creaky. The decor was fairly dated and the walls weren't super clean, but not worth complaining about. It was a comfortable place to stay.

“Great value and always a pleasant stay”

Have stayed here several times now and have not been disappointed yet. Rooms typically consist of a modern ensuite bedroom (double bed) with a kitchen unit in the corner complete with kettle, microwave, table+chairs, iron+board, hairdryer, TV, a safe (big enough to hold a laptop), free wireless internet access. Some rooms are a bit worn and dated but all have been clean and comfortable in my experience. Free parking. Check-in most friendly and efficient. Building overall is warm, comfortable and spotless. Can't fault anything. This is outstanding value for money. The only thing I would say is that reception is not attended overnight whereas female travellers in particular may want the security of a permanently manned reception desk. For me though it continues to be my no. 1 choice for any future stays in Dublin.

  • Liked — Location, value for money, service
  • Disliked — no overnight reception service

“really cool rooms, nice part of city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2008

just stayed one night in a 'studio' type room. really exceptional value for what i got. it's on baggot street which has its own pub scene and close to RDS and landsdowne road for when it opens again to international rugby. the room was large with ensuite with plenty of towels, nice comfy bed, very airy room, but unusually and a bonus, it had cooking facilities, ideal if you were staying a few days. also, it's expensive to park on street there but they have car parking for residents which i think is free! probably the nicest room i've stayed in this year. there isn't any bar or room service as far as i'm aware, think they're operated more like apartments. also plenty of tea and coffee making facilities and of a good quality. there's a tesco 5mins from hotel in city direction and another 10mins in opposite direction(this one open sundays). it's about 10mins walk to grafton st, the centre of activity and shopping in dublin. if you get a good rate it can be cheaper than some taxi rides.

  • Liked — fabulous room, fab location, cooking facilities, car park
  • Disliked — cannot fault this place especially for the price
