“not as good as i thought”

Staff were not at all helpful, had to ring down 3 times to tell them the room was freezing to which we were informed the heating was on and the radiators in our room must be broken when the reception staff finally came to check them, we were given the choice of 2 small fan heaters or could change rooms at 11 o clock at night so we chose the small fan heaters, when we woke the next morning we were boiling as the heating was now turned on. There was an awful smell coming from one of the bathrooms and also took 3 phone calls to even get a bottle of air freshener. We had 4 children with us and when we arrived we noticed the reception staff smirking at us which i do not think is very professional or acceptable as they had no cause to. Would not recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We were on 2nd floor and there was no noise whatsoever.

“Lovely Hotel”

This Hotel is really lovely and spotless clean. Rooms are a great size with comfy beds.
Our evening meal was absolutely gorgeous and breakfast was just as nice.
The Staff were so helpful and cheery, nothing worse than grumpy staff.
A 5 min walk to The Grand Canal Theatre, and so close to town too.
Overall a fab stay and will definitely be booking again

“A lovely little gem”

Myself and my friend stayed here last night(11/2/12)as we were attending Dirty Dancing at the nearby Grand Canal Theatre.
We loved this little hotel. Despite the fact that the rooms are a bit dated the place is really great. The room and the bathroom were spotless. We had a double bed each which was great and loads of room for us to get ready for our night out.
Breakfast was really good, we decided to have it in our room and we weren't charged any extra for this.
The staff on reception were very helpful and very friendly and the two bar men that we met on sat evening and night were so lovely and friendly.
I would definitely stay here again for pure value and excellent location.

“City break hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Satisfactory hotel for a city break. Staff were courteous and helpful. The car park is on site(no extra charge when we left the car for a few hours after check out). The breakfast buffet was basic - a poor selection of bread. However, the rashers (bacon to non-Irish people) and sausages were really good quality. The public areas need decoration - its all a bit jaded but not a major issue on a weekend trip. The location is great- walking distance of Grafton St (shopping), O2 (music venue) and Aviva stadium(rugby). We walked easily everywhere.

“Just Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Just wanted to say how delighted I was with this Hotel. I have to say I was very apprehensive about staying in The Pearse hotel with all the negative reviews but what a nice surprise. So first things first, check in and directions to big underground park was done in such an efficient and friendly manner by the wonderful reception staff.. The room was lovely with TV, ironing board and Iron, tea coffee and a lovely big bright clean bathroom and everywhere was lovely and warm, oh! and the beds were so comfortable, the room has two double beds and was fine and big. The bar was lovely ( the cocktails great) and again very helpful and kind bar staff. We did not eat there, but the food looked lovely. Location wise it is perfect, 5 minutes max walking to Grand Canal theatre and 15 minutes walking from Grafton Street. Breakfast was lovely and again the breakfast staff were a delight, kind and cheery. Check out was efficient and the the real bonus was that we were allowed to leave the car all day from 3pm the previous till about 7pm that evening for 10 euro. The car park was very secure. Overall, I must say it was a lovely surprise and I cannot recommend it enough for location value and friendliness of the staff. Thank you all, We will be back for definite
