“Comfortable room, bad breakfast”

The hotel was very well located, we were in the overspill hotel opposite, which was modern, clean and comfortable...no bath and electric shower in our room, but all fine. Tea making facilities minimal (v little milk, for example), but all fine. Main complInt was the breakfast in George's Restaurant attached to hotel. Nice service but cold coffee, and all breakfast luke warm or cold and / or raw (tomatoes). We had to go elsewhere for a coffee. Wou,d stay here again, but definitely without breakfast!!!

“Nice Hotel with a Great Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

The Trinity Lodge Hotel is a nice historic hotel right in the heart of Dublin. It's on a quiet street close to everything you would want to see as a tourist. Please remember this is a historic building with no elevators. However, my room was large and quiet. Breakfast was good albeit a little confusing on the price. Just tell them you want the full Irish breakfast and stay away from the little buffet table they have. The staff was friendly and efficient. You can store your luggage in the lobby. Convenient but definitely not very secure. The rate was very reasonable. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a lower floor room in the main building.

“1 night stay - perfect!”

We arrived late on a Saturday night when check-in closed at 9.30pm, but the receptionist stayed on longer to greet us. Our room was much bigger than we expected from a guesthouse! We found the hotel on tripadvisor and the reviews were great - for a reason! We didn't really have time to eat our breakfast but the food looked great and the location is perfect! Just in town and walking distance from the temple bar area - great for young couples!

Room Tip: Room number 4 was the one we stayed in- big and beautiful! Not a great view but that doesn't rea...

“Complete gem, hidden away in a back street...”

We booked in at Trinity lodge for a night of leisure after a business trip on the recommendation of a friend. And how glad we were! The room was HUGE and the beds comfy, the bathroom excellently appointed and spacious, flat screen TV, drinks facilities, large desk. The staff at reception were delightful and helpful and the value for money (85 euros for a deluxe twin, with two double beds) was ridiculous. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main shopping and socialising streets surrounding St Stephens Green so you';re never short of something to do.

In a word, delightful. We will visit again...

Room Tip: Book the deluxe double or family rooms, they are gigantic!

“An excellent place to stay in Dublin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We stayed at Trinity Lodge for an overnight visit to Dublin. After looking at many hotels I was concerned about potential noise in the night. Trinity Lodge was quiet and positioned off main thorough-fairs but excellently positioned for Temple Bar and Grafton Street. We found the reception staff very helpful so don't know who other reviewers were served by. This included a phone call to check on the floods before we visited. The room was big! View was from the back of the building - but didn't matter as it was a place to sleep. Breakfast was very good. We had booked directly with Trinity Lodge and Breakfast was included. This appeared to be an issue for some of the other visitors. Thought it was great and will use it again.
