I went with a friend on vacation in Dublin - we booked 5 nights at this hotel. It was in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We spent most of our time out of the hotel - we were so exhausted each night that we passed out. If you plan on hanging around in the hotel a lot, this is probably not the place to go. The rooms are bare and the noise level at night is very loud. We liked it because it was economical and in a great location. But, if you're just looking for a place to sleep like we were, then I would recommend this hotel.

P.S. The VAT House Bar that is connected to the hotel was really fun, very relaxing place to hang out - and they had great food!

First two nights w/out the club were fine (need a curved shower rod for small shower though), but all was lost the night the club beneth the 1st level started. Literally sounds like a nightclub in your room. Hotel really needs to charge 25% of cost of top fllors and let you know when you are booking. Don't let them put you on the 1st floor - call ahead!! Location was solid though.

We didn't sleep at all in this hotel, luckily the manager agreed for us to not pay for the second night and we went and stayed elsewhere and had the most amazing time in dublin. We were upset however that the manager would not authorise any discount at all on our first night. Good if you just want a base to plonk your suitcase and have a shower to go out but not if you actually want to sleep. The only plus side is the VAT house bar. Amazing staff there .

Stayed in a twin room for one night, great location and very good value at €60 for the room.
