“good value.......but”

This hotel is very good value, the room I stayed in was good size, clean and comfortable. However I thought the staff were a little hard work and could have been friendlier, breakfast good, location good, value excellant..............but the night club in the hotel will keep you awake until 3am so if its a party and a late bar you want this place is for you, if its a early start that you need then I would be tempted to look elsewhere.
overal 3/5 it should be 4 but marked down for the nightclub noise

“Awful”

Was staying here for a work party, room smelled damp and the walls were very thin... Breakfast was okay but staff were not friendly. Cheap rooms but will never stay again. The nightclub in the hotel was full of trouble makers and that includes the security staff. I think I would pay the extra few euro's for a better hotel.

got special deal of double room B&B for €29.99 on booking.com. we were going out for a few pints in dublin and knowing the area i was area the russell court was ideally located in the hub of activity in dublin. Couldnt go wrong with the price for the location. check in was grand but they did ask we leave a €50 deposit which would be returned the following day....found this strange as ive never been asked for a deposit in a hotel in all my years travelling. the lift is fit for one person only and 2 at a squeeze but forget about getting any luggage in it with you!! we stayed in room 37, it was actually quite spacious except for the bathroom which was minute, but hey, for the sake of 29.99 i wasnt looking for any faults....would definately stay again for that price!! didnt make it up for the breakfast, had to check out by 12 or its an additional €10..they send someone to your room to make sure you didnt thrash it before you get your money back, so a frustrating and embarrasing 10 minute wait awaits you also.

Room Tip: the higher the better as it is located in the hub of activitiy in dublin, harcourt street, dicey rei...

“Only if you're extremely hard of hearing!”

It's very very cheap. From that perspective, I can't fault it. Breakfast was good, the bedroom ensuite and clean. The hotel is housed in a fabulous Georgian building.......

Then, as nighttime hits Dublin, you see the bouncers, the inhouse discos, the sourly staff and lie awake listening to the unbelievable noise from 11pm until after 3am, with hoards of drunken youngsters shouting outside and maybe engaging in the odd fight....
Even the ear plugs provided don't help.
It's certainly an experience and as I already mentioned, it's very cheap......

“Excellent value and location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

The hotel itself is in an excellent location. My main concerns were that there was a hole in the floor by our bathroom door that was covered by the carpet so you couldnt see it. We had to put a cushion down on the ground to remind ourselves to step over it to avoid tripping on the hole. My other concern was that when I ordered my breakfast it came out to me absolutely cremated(the pudding was like a hockey puck) and when I asked the supervisor for it to be replaced I got a really bad attitude and she threw her eyes up at me whilst taking away the plate. Completely innapropriate behavior.
