“Dream stay!”

We stayed here after a gig, and it could not be more luxurious:) the rooms are well heated, everything was spotless, the beds were extremely comfortable....I had seen on some previous reviews that due to the location, it could have been a bit noisy, but that was not the case at all, we heard nothing overnight. We were staying in the Tara exec suite and it was very peaceful and well furnished. The hotel itself is quirky yet tasteful, and I think some serious bonus points are that the rooms have air con, complimentary wifi, and late check out.
My boyf and I will definitely be staying here again

“Close to everything you want”

This place is right smack middle of the city. Book here, and you wont regret it. 5 mins walk to temple bar and everything you need is just minutes of walk away. Train station 5 mins walk. LUAS line 8 mins walk. Opposite Trinity Capital Hotel.

I'll give 4 1/2 star out of 5 for cleanliness, great breakfast as well.

One comment from me would be that they have very dark rooms (inadequate lightings) , but this should not hinder you from booking Trinity Capital as the location and price wins, hands down.

“The perfect hotel!”

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights over the new year weekend 2011. As soon as we walked into the lobby we were impressed, the furniture was quirky and stylish and the staff on reception were some of the friendliest I have come across in a hotel. There was a large group of us and we were all welcomed. The decoration was brilliant and all rooms (we had 5 in total) were clean and well equipped with everything you would expect. On a couple of occassions we drank in the hotel's bar and ate in the restaurant. The food was delicious and we particularly enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar! We were looking forward to visiting Temple Bar again and were glad to find it was within walking distance, as well as walking distance to Grafton street and O'Connell street! Breakfast was great and had everything you could think of! Overall the hotel exceeded all of our expectations and for a reasonable price (we used an offer provided on the website). I would recommend this hotel and hope to go back there one day! :)

“Very Dark Bedrooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

We stayed here for a weekend, the staff on reception were very friendly and helpful but when we got to our room we were amazed at how dark it was, you had a job to see at night even with all the lights on. Plus side was no noise as it is not right in the middle of the tourist streets.

The breakfast was a horrible experience, on the first day we were told they were very busy and had no cleared tables (why don't they emply more staff at peak times?) so we waited like lemons until we were finally shown to a table, the second day was worse it was chaotic so we skipped breakfast altogether. They did refund the cost of the breakfast at checkout.

This could be a great hotel if they increased the lighting throughout the hotel and organized their waiting staff at peak times.

Dear Tripadvisor member,

Thank you for taking the time to review the Trinity Capital Hotel.
The style of the Trinity Capital Hotel does mean that some guests can find some areas of the hotel to be dark, especially in the winter. We do have additional lamps that can be brought up to the rooms if requested from the front desk.

I’m sorry to hear that your experience at breakfast was not up to standard. On very busy weekends we do experience a high volume of guests coming for breakfast in a very short space of time, our staff are always trying to clear tables as soon as they are vacated but there will occassionally be some waiting time.

We would love to have the opportunity to show you that we can meet or even exceed your expectations in the future – please do not hesitate to contact me directly at mhove@trinitycapital-hotel.com

Kind regards,
Mari Hove

“Mixed feelings”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

I booked a double room for 2 nights. The first night we were given a room whose bathroom was far from acceptable for a 4 star hotel. The kind of bathroom you would expect in a hostel, basically. We complained and asked to have a new room but we were told there were not available rooms. The following day I tried again and I was upgraded to an executive suite. This new room was amazing and very well decorated. But the air conditioning did not work. We reported the problem and we were sent a couple of mobile heaters, which did their best, but the room was so huge that we basically froze in there.

Fortunately I did not pay for the upgrade, as I would have been really pissed if I froze in my own hotel room after paying €300 per night. And the room we were given the first night should not be made available to any customer in such a condition.
