“charming hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Had clients staying in this Hotel last week and we held Interviews there also. Charming quaint Hotel, lovely staff and very convenient to City. A little Gem, and my visitors said they rooms were also lovely and that everyone was so helpful to them for the duration of their three night stay.

“Rooms OK for the Price, Don't Eat at the Hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

The room was OK but felt a little like a plastic closet. It's decor was all laquer and modern to the point of uncomfortable. There was no blow dryer as promised in my room and it was too late for me to call down and get one or I would miss my bus tour. The front desk staff during the day was great but the guy at night was a jerk and didn't want to be bothered. I ordered a late night pizza when i came home from the pub late and received cardboard in a cardboard box. I washed it down with Coke and then they left it laying in the hallway all day and night the next day. I was concerned I'd find animals eating it the next day but they took it on the 2nd day. I ordered Nachos when I arrived and how can you mess up melted cheese on crisps but they managed to make But, the hotel was clean and the lobby decor outstanding. The front desk team helped me find where we needed to go but they didn't make any reservations for us - they left us to do it on our own.

Room Tip: Do not get one over the top of the fire brigade

“Mum and Dad LOVED this place!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We sent my parents to the Trinity Capital for their 43rd anniversary. I chose it because of previous reviews and because photos of it made it look quirky and interesting, whereas a lot of hotels just look the same. My mum sent me texts raving about it and they even stayed on another night, they loved it so much. The location was perfect for shops and the National Gallery which they wanted to do, and they were even upgraded by the lovely staff because it was a special occasion. Apparently, although they were on the main road the windows are about 6 inches thick with special glazing and they couldnt hear any traffic. My mum is now encouraging us to stay there as she says its so interesting and atmospheric, you have to see it to believe it....Thank you Trinity Capital !!

“Fantastic gem in the heart of Dublin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Trinity Capital is a fantastic, 4-star hotel right in the heart of beautiful Dublin.

It's very conveniently located, within walking distance of all major tourist attractions (Trinity College, St. Patrick Cathedral, St. Stephen's Green, Temple Bar, Grafton Street and many more) and very well connected – there's a light train station just a few meters away, and the bus stop to board the Airlink coach to Dublin Airport stop is a 3-minute walk away.

The rooms are basic, clean and quite. There is a fire station right beside the hotel but it never bothered us. The staff is really kind and helpful, and extremely polite.

The hotel offers a delicious full Irish breakfast, I recommend to try it out.

Overall the experience was flawless, and we were delighted with this hotel.

“adequate for the price, really good location, but just not there...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

For the price we paid, and for a short weekend stay, we didn't mind that the hotel fails to deliver the modern style beyond the lobby / common area. However, while you can tell that the hotel is working pretty hard to get to the sleek, modern, funky, boutique-like feel, it falls short on the details. Honestly not sure why it's now a 4-star or why the raving reviews.

Our room looks refurbished on the surface, but it seems like they just put new flashy wallpaper, velvety covers and new upholstery over worn furniture... The bathroom is also quite dated (worn tiles, scrubby bathtub, no ventilation...etc), old TV (you'd expect at least a flatscreen to go with most 4-star hotel these days, let along one that is trying to look sleek) & chunky appliances (80s?90s)..etc...

On the plus side, the bed is quite comfy, the location is great, and we didn't pay more than 100euro / night. In summary. for the price, you get adequate / average level quality and a really good location, but not the modern upgrades nor flair that you may be expected reading through these reviews...
