For the price we paid, and for a short weekend stay, we didn't mind that the hotel fails to deliver the modern style beyond the lobby / common area. However, while you can tell that the hotel is working pretty hard to get to the sleek, modern, funky, boutique-like feel, it falls short on the details. Honestly not sure why it's now a 4-star or why the raving reviews.
Our room looks refurbished on the surface, but it seems like they just put new flashy wallpaper, velvety covers and new upholstery over worn furniture... The bathroom is also quite dated (worn tiles, scrubby bathtub, no ventilation...etc), old TV (you'd expect at least a flatscreen to go with most 4-star hotel these days, let along one that is trying to look sleek) & chunky appliances (80s?90s)..etc...
On the plus side, the bed is quite comfy, the location is great, and we didn't pay more than 100euro / night. In summary. for the price, you get adequate / average level quality and a really good location, but not the modern upgrades nor flair that you may be expected reading through these reviews...

We have a large range of room types on offer, the hotel has been continually changed and extended since it first opened in 2000.
