First time stopped at hotel. Great deal for stay 3 nights for price of 2. Trip was to celebrate partners 30th birthday. Emailed hotel day before stay to see if they could sort wine and chocolates for arrival. Swift friendly emails, nothing too much trouble. Moved to a beautiful room overlooking Liffey. Gillian on reception was excellent. Kept everything secret so partner had no clue. She even put rose petals in room to give extra effect. Didn't sample food, but heard other visitors saying it was good. Rooms clean, modern and good size. Location is superb next to Liffey and 3mins walk from oconnell street. Temple bar literally other side of river, cross either oconnell bridge or half penney bridge. Visited usual attractions guinness storehouse, jamesons distillery, great tours but best attraction was kilmainham gaol. Tour guide fab, very informative and passionate about the history. Hotel has various soecials inc shows and meals. Would certainly return for future stays and recommend to all. Thanks again Gillian for making stay special.

“Best hotel for 6 nations weekend”

Used this hotel for Ireland v Wales weekend and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Good, busy and clean hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Our rooms were more than adequate, not luxury but clean with good beds and an excellent shower.
The breakfast was just what was required after a good booze up, cereals, fruit, full cooked brekkie etc.
The main factor to draw groups of friends to this hotel is the huge bar area with live music and food. On match day the whole of Dublin seemed to descend on this hotel to watch the game.
My only small criticism was the temperature in the communal areas. No hotel needs corridors to be this hot, turn the thermostat down a bit.
With regard to drinking in Dublin, don't believe the horror stories regarding prices. We'd heard rumours of 7 or 8 euros for a Guinness in Temple Bar but simply not true. We only drank in the hotel or the centre of Temple Bar and never paid more than 5 euros.
If you like a good singer try The Auld Dubliner in Temple Bar, especially local boy Brian Brody, who is awesome with the crowd. Just him and a guitar, brilliant.

Stayed here with my wife 3-6 february for the rugby ,ireland v wales.from the moment we checked in to the minute we left all the staff were brilliant,so helpful, friendly and always had a smile on their face.what a great location, right on the liffey, yards from o connell st,templebar 2 minute walk away over the river and the shops in grafton st less than 10 min walk.
room was great, very clean and spacious, huge kingsize bed.the bar downstairs is huge, live irish dancing every night and great bands later in the evenings when we were there.breakfast was excellent .remember this is a 3* hotel and not a 5* ,we didnt have any complaints at all although im sure some people will.there is traffic noise, but what do you expect from an inner city hotel, couldnt see the telly from the bed because the room was so big, would recommend this hotel to every one except maybe families.last time i was in dublin 4 years ago i stopped at the 5* Clarence, believe me,we would rather stop here.getting from the airport was so easy, dont get a taxi, catch a bus from right outside the terminal.number 747(i think ) or the blue airlink coaches.
while in dublin i would recommend a visit to the ha'penny bridge inn, great landlord and the best pint of guinness i had in 3 days, also had the best kebab ever from the place opposite the Oliver St. John Gogartys pub in templebar.
had the worst fish and chips in my life from the famous Leo Burdock in templebar,9 euros for uncooked chips and grey limp cod.
thank you Arlington,we wiil be back

Just returned from a stay at the Arlington with my wife, very helpful and welcoming staff, great service nothing to much trouble. Great breakfast. Hotel is well located near the centre of Dublin recommend getting a bus tour ticket it's good for two days, just hope on and off the bus at the various stops to see the sites.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Dublin.

Room Tip: We had a top floor room over looking the river, which we asked for. The only thing to note is the li...

“Fantastic Weekend Break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Stayed at The Arlington Hotel, with my partner this weekend and had a fantastic time.

The Staff were all friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived to the time we left.
The Room (118) Was clean, tidy and the bed was massive, definitely more than i was expecting for the price.

We ate at Sinatras Bar, at the hotel and were blown away with the food. One of the best meals out I've had in a long time, we have the Poached Cod, and the Guinness Beef Burger.

Would Recommend this Hotel to Anyone!
