“Nicest and most helpful staff!”

Isaac's Hostel is by far my favorite hostel I've stayed while traveling this past term. I say that having stayed at over 4 hostels in the last 3 months. Ronan and Kevin were the two front men when we stayed. They offered a phone charger when I misplaced mine, gave directions, and recommended places around Ireland. One morning there was no towels to be found (yet to be delivered). The front desk lady realized I was in desperate need and got one from the hotel next door. Awesome people! Clean place... #thebest

“Surprisingly good!”

I really did not want to stay here but the younger members of the family wanted to try the 'Hostel' experience so I caved. We stayed two nights which is one and a half more than I thought I would. The staff were very courteous and friendly and very patient with a non-youth like me so that was a great start. The room we got was clean and while spartan was comfortable with adequate room even though there were seven of us sharing. As it was an eight person room (and still would have been adequate if we were eight) the desk staff did not charge us for the extra bed - and this after I had first said I would pay for it so that we would have some privacy. Cannot fualt them on their customer service. I was worried about noise levels - definitely this is a party venue, but slept very well and apart from a few heavy footsteps at around ten pm we were undisturbed, the DART did not make that much noise even though our window looked right over it.. The security lockers for baggage is a great facility - we were able to leave everything we did not need without a qualm when we were toured Dublin. I did not try the kitchen facilities but I did not hear anyone complain about them either. The area itself does look a bit rundown and forbidding, but again I did not hear anyone related horror stories about late night muggings or anything of the sort. All in all this was a pleasant place to stay if one wants to save money and have the youth experience - I would say though you have to be in your teens or be an adventourous kind of older person to really appreciate it all. It is very handy to the main attractions in Dublin by the way - we easily walked to Trinity and the area. I have a vague memory that the showers were not the hottest, but it can't have been too bad or I would definitely remember.

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor - much less traffic

“Wish it wasn't a one night stand!”

My stay at Issac's was a very safe and welcome stay! I was greated by a young man, Kevin was his name if I remember right, who give me all the information/directions/and services I need! What a guy!

There is wifi and internet access readily availible as well as a lounge, bathrooms, lundry-mat and eating area.

The room I stayed in was a four bed room. Beds where clean with a pillow and blanket to boot! The central bus station is just around the corner and there is a railway close by. But I didn't have any problems with noise.

There is a quite little beer garden out side, with your choice of Guinness or Hienakin. Very cheap! Cheapest pints I could find I might add! Still delicious!
Breakfest consisted of ceral and plenty of bread with plenty of morning condiments. Milk and coffee where also provided, I might add there is a kitchen that is availible for any guests.

My stay was very pleasent, my only complaint is I wish I would have had the pleasure to stay longer.

“Ok place to stay”

I stayed at this hostel for a week with my sister in the end of October - beginning of November 2011. We booked a twin room. The room was clean and ok, it had a bunk bed, mirror with table and a chair > very plain but this was what we expected. The location for this hostel is excellent and only because of that I would recommend staying here. The staff was nice too.
Breafast was light > toast, juice, cereals, coffee, tea and milk. I wouldn´t say that the hostel was very clean, but this was partly because many of the guests left their things + garbage laying around toilets/bathrooms. Also you could hear everything from the hallway and other rooms to your room, the walls were like paper.
I would still stay here again > the price was very reasonable for the stay.
