“A brilliant hotel beyond expectations!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

My recent stay at the Gresham Hotel with my daughter was terrific. Early access to our room was such a bonus as we had been travelling since 4a.m. Our room was spotless, cosy and warm. 12pm checkout helped so much as we had a late flight home. I would recommend to anyone visiting Dublin to visit the Gresham - great value, top service, perfect location. We can't wait to stay at this super hotel again soon.

Room Tip: We stayed on the south side - not much of a view but quiet and peaceful.

“Wonderful time at The Gresham!”

My boyfriend & I are just back today from a two night stay in The Gresham Hotel. This was my first stay at the hotel. We got an excellent deal via NI Translink rail breaks, travelling first class on the Enterprise Train from Belfast to Dublin & our two nights bed & breakfast, all for £99 each.

We arrived at the hotel on the first day before 11am & were able to check into our room straight away & I was most thrilled to be given a room overlooking O'Connell Street! The room itself was bright & spacious, clean & even included a fridge which was great. Staff were very helpful & breakfast on both mornings was delicious with a great selection (they even brought me a pint glass of ice cold milk each morning as I don't like tea or coffee!).

The hotel is very central & is only a few minutes away from all the attractions Dublin has to offer & we had a great time exploring all the shops, Dublin Zoo & going on the city tour bus (which has a stop opposite the hotel). It is also right beside a taxi rank which was very convenient for us going to Connolly Station on our way home. It's a beautiful hotel, very luxurious & opulently decorated. Prior to this stay I'd already booked to come back here next month with my mother & granny & based on this visit, I really can't wait! The only negative to this whole experience is that I've had to come home!

“Great location for exploring Dublin.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I've stayed in the Gresham on a few occasions now, and being a new to TripAdvisor, I wanted to say how much I've always enjoyed my stays there.

I think it's in a great location, parking nearby [in a multistory at the back of the hotel, which has a favourable rate for hotel guests] and generally I've managed to get pretty good rates for staying there through their own website.

On the down side, the hotel can look a bit old and worn from time to time, and I've noticed that some rooms are in better condition than others.

The breakfasts are pretty good - the usual buffet fare, but nothing wrong with that. I've never had an issue with staff there, and on the few occasions I've had problems they were sorted out with a minimum of fuss.

Anytime I'm flying out of Dublin (unless it's a really early flight) I like to stay here and have the city centre at my feet. It's a treat to be able to walk out the door and be in Temple Bar with its great restaurants and vibrant buzz, inside of 5 minutes.

As I've said, I've been before and will probably stay again.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, ask for one facing away from O'Connell street - that is, at the back o...

“Convenient location and very friendly.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

No real issues and had a pleasant weekend. The price seems quite high for the level of comfort but I don't know Dublin prices so can't really say.
We found the hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and served until 12 noon.
It was quite cold in the hotel but the room soon warmed up once the heating was on however the water was only ever just above luke warm no matter the time of day which for me is a big issue.
I wouldn't object to staying here again but I think I would perhaps shop around a lit before deciding.

“Enjoyable night away”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Myself and two of my friends stayed at the Gresham Hotel on 30/1/2012. The service we received from the friendly staff was excellent. I love the location of the hotel. This is my second time to stay there and I certainly will be back.
