“Nice Hotel Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

people found this review helpful

I stayed here in February 2012. The cost for the night was 199 euro with Breakfast included. Overall its a nice hotel in a very convenient location; just few steps from Stephens Green and close to Trinity University.

The Good:
Excellent location for sight seeing and shopping
My room was available upon my arrival at 1:00 pm
The rooms are not large by US standards, but are more than adequate
Valet parking
Very nice and accommodating staff.
Business center is available 24 hours.

The Not so good:
Avoid the ALEX restaurant for dinner- Expensive and overly salted food
The piano player in the lobby is a bit too loud if you are trying to have a conversation.
The fitness center is small.
Don’t depend on the door man for direction. If you drive make sure you have or rent a GPS.

“Still up to its usual high standard.”

Having stayed here a few times now - it is still as good as ever. Efficient staff - especially very helpful concierge. Excellent location for the shops on Grafton Street or a stroll through St Stephens Green. Also within a half hour walk to Aviva stadium.

“Outstanding stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Stayed here for three nights last weekend for the rugby international. The welcome we had from the staff was outstandingly friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean with lots of facilities that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was well catered for with a good selection. Waiter/waitress service was excellent in all areas. The cost of our stay was very reasonable.
Location is excellent too. The drop off point of the Air Bus is just around the corner and only about 40 minutes to the airport. The hotel is on the edge of St. Stephens Green and is not too far from good quality shopping on Grafton Street including decent pubs and restaurants nearby.
Would recommend this hotel.

“Conrad Hilton would be pleased!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

This is a fairly new hotel located straight across the street from the National Concert Hall in Dublin. I grew up as a child staying in the Chicago Conrad Hilton and Palmer House Towers so I had high expectations which were exceeded when we walked into Dublin's Conrad Hotel.

There was confussion about our online booking but someone behind the scenes, who we never got to meet, named Marie phoned us just as we reached the room assigned to us. The porter, Gary was so wonderful and so very helpful in showing us to another room. We ended up staying two nights (and wish we could have stayed longer) in a beautiful, cosy, spacious, quiet room #432 which overlooked the magnificent Concert Hall. It was immaculate with six wide windows, plenty of closet space, a large desk under a view window with wifi access at a very reasonable charge of 5.00 a day. If you didn't use the 5.00 computer card each day, they refunded it with no problem. In the end we used the lobby for computer hook up as this had free access.

I must say the bar in the room was well stocked as was the free tea/coffee caddy and fresh bottles of water were delivered with the nightly turn down service. I have never encountered such elegant bathroom supplies. There was everything from toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, comb, nail files, mouthwash and shampoo, bars of soap not just on the vanity but on the tub and in the shower. Literally all you need bring is your coat and hat.

We eat mostly in the lobby restaurant and then each day had a scrumptious afternoon tea at 3:00PM. Breakfast was very expensive and not included in the price of the room. Everything is within walking distance. We were able to walk through St Stepen's Green to shopping on Grafton Street and Gary was always very considerate in opening the door and giving us a hotel umbrella or calling a taxi. This is our favourite hotel in Dublin now.

Room Tip: Room 432 was perfect and had a spacious, bright sitting room . Upper floor, away from elevators an...
