We stayed here to make use of a gift certificate, but decided to change hotels after the first night. The location is fine. The room was small but this can be acceptable. The bathroom was too small and filthy, complete with fungi and hairs. The bed was both small and tilted. But the worst was definitely the noise level, from other rooms but especially from the street. Single glazing (broken) and a gap between the parts... Combine this with a club next door and you get the idea. We complained to the staff but there were no other rooms available. When we left after the first of two pre-paid nights we told the receptionist why we left. Her response: "no problem"...

Great location for this hotel, great staff, but the rooms are small, not very clean, and far away from 3* standard

Great location, within walking distance of the main areas. The accommodation unfortunately was of a poor standard. We originally had a room on the second floor, which was tiny, over heated and the bathroom needed a good clean and would benefit from a make over. We did ask if any other rooms were available and we were given a room on the ground floor, which was to a better standard, clean and cooler. Staff were friendly and helpful. I doubt we will book this accommodation again.

Four of us booked two twin rooms in this hotel for a concert close by - we had left it pretty late to book so were delighted to get such a great location. Our room was on the first floor and when I say it was tiny, I'm being kind. The heat in the room was unbearable and we had to have the window flying open at all times to get some air moving around in there. The room we were in faced out onto the busy road and we were right at the junction so the next morning we were awoken very early with the Monday morning traffic.
Our friends, who incidently had a twin room rather then a double, paid LESS money for a larger room. Their room was on the ground floor and was much cooler. It faced out on to the side street beside the hotel so was much quieter too - they were woken by their alarm clock not the hubble of the street.
The parking facility at the hotel was a bit of a joke too, there were about 3 spaces behind a gate that you were just given the key to go into the yard - it was like something out of a Guy Ritchie movie and they charged a tenner for the privilege.
I don't think I'd be in a rush back to stay in this hotel and if I did I'd be specifying I wanted a downstairs room as these were definitely more value for money.
