“Spacious Rooms with Modern Amenities, Great Location, Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Stayed here for 2 nights in May 2008 (not May 2011, but TripAvisor made me pick a date within the last 12 months) during a golf trip. I was initially searching hotels with higher TripAdvisor ratings, but lodging in Dublin was extremely difficult to come by due to (believe it or not) a Celine Dion concert. I was looking for a hotel that, ideally, met two criteria: 1) separate beds for 3 people, and 2) walking distance to Temple Bar. So, I worked my way down the list and found the Premier Suites, which met both criteria. So glad I found it! This place should be much higher on the TripAdvisor ratings!

The location turned out to be great. You can get to Grafton Street with just a 5-minute walk (diagonally) through St. Stephen's Green, and from there it's maybe another 10-minute walk to Temple Bar area. I felt very safe walking around those areas, even at night.

Rooms were very nice (see my photos) and modern. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite, with 2 twin beds in the bedroom and a roll-away in the living room (can't remember if they charged extra for the roll-away; if they did, it was modest, like maybe 10 Euro or something). Bathroom was very nice and clean and kitchen was more than adequate if you were staying for an extended period.

There is no restaurant at this hotel, so that may be a deal-breaker for some. Personally, I was fine with that since we had been traveling around Ireland for 5 days and I had had my fill of traditional Irish breakfasts! Plus, I was eager to get out and see the city anyway.

In summary: I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are modern and clean. The location is great. And the price was right.

I am delighted to see that you enjoyed your stay and that we met your criteria and expectations.

Thank you very much for your kind words in relation to our great location in a very safe area. It's lovely to hear that you found the suite clean and modern with a more than adequate kitchen.

You correctly mention that we do not have a restaurant on site, however since your stay in 2008, we have also introduced complimentary Danish Pastries, to go with the complimentary tea and coffee already available.

Thank you again for your lovely review and for highly recommending us, we really do appreciate it.

We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Dublin and to Premier Suites in the future.

Kind Regards,

“Fantastic location, well appointed room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

Location in this hotel is absolutely unbeatable, Aircoach to/from Dublin airport stops right in front of the hotel. Grafton Street is a nice leisurely 5-10 mins walk away through St. Stephen's Green. A lot of Dublin Bus services have stop in front of the hotel, so getting to most city sights is very convenient. Stayed in the one bedroom apartment, which I thought was really good value for the price I paid. Washing machine/ Dryers, cooking utensils, even a dishwasher is available within the apartment itself. Overall, the room was very clean. We stayed in a room that was street facing, there was a little bit of sound coming from all the buses that came and went from the bus-stop right in front of the hotel, but it isn't something that'll keep you awake, I slept very well. On the first night we were there we were not aware that they had a weekly housekeeping service instead of a daily service, so we left all our used towels on the floor the next morning, but the hotel had no issues giving us fresh towels the next day, so no complaints at all there. They don't serve breakfast but they do provide some hot coffee/tea at the lobby, which was great when you return from the winter cold outside.

Room Tip: Pay a little more for the one bedroom apartments, rather than a studio. You'll appreciate the ad...

Dear Moonjazz,

Thank you very much for taking the time to review Premier Suites Dublin on Tripadvisor.

I am delighted to see that you fully enjoyed your stay with us and got a good nights sleep.

Thank you very much for your kind words about our great location, cleanliness of the suite and the good value you received.

Im glad to see you found the kitchen items and appliances in your suite useful and that the noise from the buses on Leeson Street did not keep you awake at night, it is great to hear the double window helps keep the noise to a minimum.

I hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Premier Suites Dublin sometime in the future.

Kind Regards,

“Don't Book Here, Reservation Will Not Be Guaranteed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

I booked the Premier Suites 5 months prior to my trip to Dublin for a stay of 2 nights. I paid a deposit and the twin non smoking room was confirmed via email. I even phoned them and discussed the confirmation 1 week prior to travel and they stated that they look forward to seeing me that weekend. However, the day prior to travel, I received a phone call to state that I would need to change rooms for the second night, and also would not be getting a twin room as I had originally booked. I was offered alternative accommodation, which was not to my liking so had to spend time frantically looking for alternative accommodation at such short notice and as a result of booking at short notice, was much more expensive. When I spoke to the administration team at Premier Suites and queried why after receiving confirmation 5 months ago am I in this situation, they stated that they do not allocate rooms until 4 days before and I was given some waffle about someone else being a long term stay, hence I had to move rooms.

Appreciate my review does not reflect the quality of the accommodation, however it seems like the poor administration procedures are a common theme here. Do not book as you will be at risk of having unnecessary stress prior to your trip.

“A few nights in Dublin prior to”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

We spent a few nights here prior to a longer trip to Northern Ireland in Sep 2011. We ummed and erred about which place to use, and in the end opted for this one, which was a tad more expensive than other apart-hotels.
We thought an apart-hotel would be a lot more user friendly considering we had a 18 month toddler.
Pros:
Good central location - Close to Dublins main parks and Museums and easy reach of the central town plus close to good restaurants
Clean and well presented apartment - decent sized two bedroom place
Friendly staff at reception - although they clock off early-ish
Free Wi-Fi - although coverage could be a bit better
Good hotel services - we had food shopping pre-delivered which was taken to our room and unpacked
we also used the hotel babysitting service so we could go out for dinner
underground parking (although a little tricky to find) was useful

Cons
door handle was broken on one of the bedroom doors (obviously not a major one!)

Overall, i was very pleased and it suited our needs just fine. In comparison with others we were travelling with who stayed at a cheaper apartment in north dublin, it was better specced, but the main difference was this was more of a hotel with very useful services.

“ok accommodation”

My husband and i booked for 2 nights at premier suites 12 months in advance . The first night we had a room in the main building . The room was ok... clean but very basic..
on our return 6 days later we were told we had a room up the street and around the corner as the main building was booked out . I found this very disappointing considering we had booked so far in advance . i probably would not stay there again
