Stayed here for 2 nights in May 2008 (not May 2011, but TripAvisor made me pick a date within the last 12 months) during a golf trip. I was initially searching hotels with higher TripAdvisor ratings, but lodging in Dublin was extremely difficult to come by due to (believe it or not) a Celine Dion concert. I was looking for a hotel that, ideally, met two criteria: 1) separate beds for 3 people, and 2) walking distance to Temple Bar. So, I worked my way down the list and found the Premier Suites, which met both criteria. So glad I found it! This place should be much higher on the TripAdvisor ratings!
The location turned out to be great. You can get to Grafton Street with just a 5-minute walk (diagonally) through St. Stephen's Green, and from there it's maybe another 10-minute walk to Temple Bar area. I felt very safe walking around those areas, even at night.
Rooms were very nice (see my photos) and modern. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite, with 2 twin beds in the bedroom and a roll-away in the living room (can't remember if they charged extra for the roll-away; if they did, it was modest, like maybe 10 Euro or something). Bathroom was very nice and clean and kitchen was more than adequate if you were staying for an extended period.
There is no restaurant at this hotel, so that may be a deal-breaker for some. Personally, I was fine with that since we had been traveling around Ireland for 5 days and I had had my fill of traditional Irish breakfasts! Plus, I was eager to get out and see the city anyway.
In summary: I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are modern and clean. The location is great. And the price was right.
