“Small but Excellent staff and clean”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

My boyfriend and I escaped here for an overnight while visiting family in Scotland. We arrived at 10am (well before checkin) but they got us in our room right away. It was small, but pretty standard for Europe and the bathroom was bigger than I thought it would be. It was clean and the water was hot and the bed was comfortable. We were streetside but didn't hear any traffic. That being said the walls are thin -we heard a drunk man coming down the hall to his room in the middle of the night. The staff were very helpful and recommended the Italian next door which was excellent food and service. The next day our flight wasn't til late evening but they kept our bags locked up and we collected them before going to the airport. It was a two minute walk from the Spire on O'Connell street. We took a bus once and walked the rest of the way. If you're looking for a clean, central hotel in Dublin I'd definitely recomment. Excellent Value.

I arrived at about 12 pm. Guess what? No fuss given about coming earlier and a room was promptly given. The room is quiet, clean and simply but adequately furnished. Not Shangri-la but definitely comfortable. It is literally 3 minutes walk from O' Connell street, the main shopping district, and am 5 minutes walk from the nearest DART station. The staff is friendly and the manager helpful. Definitely staying there again on my next trip back to dublin.

“Great Value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

My partner and I travel to Dublin 3 or 4 times a year and we always stay in the Dublin City Inn. It's clean, good value for money, the staff are friendly and in a great location. Would recommend to anyone I know looking to stay in Dublin for around £50 a night.

“Prime Location”

Stayed 29 -31 December 2011. The hotel was basic but very clean and ideally located for all the main shopping areas, airport and tourism transport. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Worth buying the sight seeing ticket for the Hop on Hop off bus, (10 Euros) for two days. Two pubs situated very close to the Hotel and worth a visit is the Confession Box, you will get a warm welcome from the local regulars, and the Celtic Bar.
mGuinness factory and the Kilmainham Jail worth a visit.

“Clean, friendly,good location, cheap”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

Just picked this place at a last minute, it certainly wasent the ritz but for the location and price we couldn't complain.
Very good location, just 2 minute walk from the spire, rooms bit on the small side but not uncomfortable, staff friendly and reception manned 24 hrs.
For a few days city break, this is perfect!!
