We had taken the advice of one of our friends to stay at Trinity College while in Dublin. The three of us got single rooms in an apartment suite. However, we did not make use of their common room. The bed was a twin and it was comfortable and clean. I had a few of morning Dublin traffic. For me, it was interesting because it let me look at Dublin's morning life from where I was. Spacious for me. Except the bathroom was...small? I was not used to a sort of all in one set up but it was doable for the few days we were there. The best thing about this place is that it's about a 10 minute walk away from everything. The only time we actually had to take transportation was to and from the Guinness Brewery and to the airport. We felt safe because the campus was locked after 11 pm. The only actual downside was that it was a bit of a walk between our apartment and the front gate. But that was all right. Just hope we didn't wake anyone up with our dragging our luggage over cobblestones at 3 in the morning.

The breakfast was good, just your generic cereal and pastries. We were leaving really early in the morning, so the lovely people at the front desk arranged for us to have to go bags with breakfast in it.

Room Tip: Be in contact with TCD before your trip so that they can arrange the best accommodation for you.

If you're in Dublin already, then you must go to this campus. It's big and interesting. I loved the old library^^ and our tour guide was simply the best.:D We didn't stay there for the night, so I can't help you there.:D

“Very pleasant stay”

This is not a five star hotel, but if you want to relive your days as a student in an extremely beautiful campus environment, this is the place for you. The campus is enormous and full of great, inspiring architecture. The room was medium sized but fine and we had access to a kitchen with good facilities. Wifi is available but there was no TV, as you would expect for student accomodation. I recommend if you can to get into the graduate memorial building which is very scenic and faces the main quad. The continental breakfast in the buttery is fine and generous, and a cooked breakfast buffet is available for 5 euros or so. The staff in the accomodation office look like they are students doing a summer job and were very good. One slight issue is that the five or so gates of the walled campus are closed at confusing hours of the night, though there's always at least one open. The location couldn't be better. You are right in the heart of where all the fun happens in Dublin. As I said, if you want to be pampered in a five star hotel don't come here. If you want a great college experience, don't miss it.

“Ideal location! Just remember that it's a dorm room.”

We stayed here this August and found that the location in central Dublin was perfect. We stayed in a double room in Goldsmith Hall which is located outside of the main campus very close to the Pearse DART station. We checked in at the accommodation office which is near the front gate and we were driven to Goldsmith Hall. We were then escorted to our room on the 4th floor and shown how to get to our room and use the key cards. Overall, we thought the check-in staff were warm and welcoming to us.

Goldsmith Hall is a fairly modern building constructed of cinder blocks. The room itself was fairly spartan, but had one double bed for us (as we had reserved.) Each bedroom is secured by your card key. The room is in a grouping of four rooms that share two bathrooms and a lounge/cooking area. We were here for four nights and never had to wait to use the bathroom. (We didn't even have to wait for each other to use the shower or toilet!) Each day our room was cleaned, and the bed was re-made, and our towels were replaced.

We had our breakfast in Hamilton restaurant which is exclusively for Goldsmith Hall residents. (Other residents usually eat at the Buttery Food Court.) We ate the included continental breakfast each day and didn't feel the need to pay the supplement for the Irish breakfast. The continental breakfast includes cereal, 3 breads, yogurt or prunes, choice of fruit, a glass of juice, and coffee or tea. (There was a sign that indicated what is included posted in a few places before we got to the register to show our breakfast voucher.)

If you want accommodations that are clean, centrally located, and economical, then this place is for you. Just remember that these are dorm rooms and don't expect hotel style service.

“Go see the campus but don't stay the night.”

In many years of travelling to many parts of the world ive never stayed at such a frustrating place. Arrive , campus looks nice this could be cool... was quickly replaced with, why is this such hard work. No Wifi, difficult luggage storage, long way to room from reception, confusing access at night times, crappy little dorm room that looked nothing like photos. Reminded me of my uni days expect I wasn’t at uni and had paid a fair few Euro to stay in what I thought would be a nice room from the website. Students were nice and polite at the front desk and I felt sorry for them having to deal with the draconian system that was in place for check in and check out as well as luggage storage. To cap it all off my friend and I got separated during a boozy night out and when she returned to the room her key didn’t work and it looked like I was going to be taking a very expensive taxi back into the city centre at 5am to sort it out until she found security to finally let her in. No real apology no discount, no realisation a single white female was wandering round at 5am alone locked out of her room in the middle of a big city. Go take a look at the campus its great don't stay here EVER!

Room Tip: Just dont stay here at all, but if you do you dont want the rooms in the far flung dorms makes thing...
