“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Stayed in the hotel for a Valentines treat.... The hotel was amazing. Great location, really clean and comfortable, great atmosphere. The food was so good in both the bar and restaurant. We were amazed by the details put into the theme of Valentines, from cupcakes and strawberries in our room through to the red rose given to us at dinner, right through to the Valentines named dishes at dinner.
Only issue I had, but a very small issue was that upon checkin, the first member of staff that dealt wih us excused himself and left me standing there, then the second staff member started to deal with us and again excused herself and left so it took a third member of staff to complete checkin.

Apart from the that small issue this was a wonderful night away.... will recommend this hotel to friends and family and will definately be back as soon as possible.

“Wonderful staff”

The hotel itself is situated behind the O2 so perfect if you are going to a show and its also convenient for The Grand Canal Theatre. The Luas/tram stop is directly outside the front door so just a few stops to the centre of the city. Bedrooms are as you see on the website, clean and bright. We ate in the bar which serves an Asian menu lovely food, and it also has a well priced restaurant. The staff is suberb, everyone appears to work as a team and service was faultless. Breakfast had a good choice, one slight quibble the cooked food was not as hot as I like. There was a great vibe in the bar after we returned from our show. Alltogether a great experience. We will definitely be back.

“WOW WOW”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Stayed in the hotel a number of weeks ago for my wives birthday. The touches were really nice with a beautiful desert designed and her name on it .This was left on the dressing table .They also left a birthday card for her and it is these little extra touches which makes me give a 5 star rating. When i spoke to Regina ,i asked for a view onto o2,we were given a room with a spacious shared balcony and we could look down on the o2 from it.Really nice touch. We didnt avail of breakfast but the pleasant girl on reception offered us concessions for breakfast the next morning at a reduced rate. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a luxurious bathroom with a very large shower enclosure.Another nice touch was the music system being heard in the bathroom.
The lobby had wi-fi which would have been handy for kids .
The bar had a lovely view overlooking dublin city.We went to the grand theathre to dirty dancing and snow petrol were playing in 02 the same night. The staff were very pleasant and the food was excellant in the diningroom. The hotel did cater for light food in a smaller restaurant beside us for as little a 5 euro .Location was good for the concerts and luas was right outside the door of the hotel . Leaving the hotel the next day made me proud of being irish and our high standards in this hotel .Keep up the good work from pat in galway.

Room Tip: A balcony in lovely with the dublin city lights at night. Also romantic

“Perfect Birthday”

Me and my husband we had a wonderful evening before the concert night Van Morrison 4th of Ferbuary. We had a 3 course dinner in Coda Eatery Restaurant.
Despite a very busy atmosphere everything seems to be very well organised.
Friendly staff and service you provide in the Gibson hotel were for us very nice experience. Our waitrees (I dont remember her name), nice smiling girl with red short hair and manager in the restaurant made a very good job and we were extremely well looked after. The meal was amazing and we really enjoyed the romantic atmosphere with a candles around. I am very greateful, it was a memorable evening and lovely xperience, becsuse I was celebrating my birthday. We are looking forward  to return there very soon. I will recommend the Gibson hotel to my friends.

Best regards

“Excellent location - will return”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Have just returned from a weekend break at The Gibson. The hotel is situated opposite the O2 but as there were no events on at the O2 when we were there the hotel was quiet. The location is perfect as we arrived by bus from the airport which stops right outside and for getting into the centre of Dublin the tram also stops outside (which we used all the time). The hotel was clean and the staff helpful. We only ate breakfast in the hotel which was fairly standard - good selection but hot food could have been a little hotter.

There was a lovely balcony from the double room which was unexpected. The window from the bedroom to the bathroom was a little strange and for some, frosted glass may be preferable!

All in all, would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back.
