“Very Nice Place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2010

My friend and I spent 1 night here on a road trip around Ireland. It's a very nice manor house, food was very good and the hosts were delightful! Had a nice visit over a sip or two of whiskey before heading into town for Irish traditional music at the Reel Inn - the best night of music we had! The only negative was location as it's outside of town on the highway. If I get back to Donegal, I would definitely find a place in town as I enjoy being able to walk to places and being part of the town. Donegal Manor is basically a small hotel, quiet & private, so if that's what you're looking for, I would recommend it.

What an experience Donegal house was!
We arrived to be greeted by a very happy and friendly Sian. She was keen to see where we had been, what we wanted to see and offered suggestions as to how we could best use our 2 nights to see everything. She even helped my husband to convince me to make a day trip to the Giants Causeway.
Our room was massive and well equipped... Including free wifi. When we got back from our first day off sightseeing my husband went down to get the wifi code from Sian, she gave him the code and asked would be like a pot of coffee and cake brought up to our room.
The decor of Donegal manor is lovely and has a really charming atmosphere, Michael and Sian add to this with their beautiful personalities.
Breakfast was great, lots of options and good service by the girls that help out.
We hope to return one day.

“Luxury and character at affordable prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2010

We were extremely pleased to find this lovely and characterful guest house. More like a small hotel, the family room we stayed in was spacious and luxurious. Our five year old was made very welcome and Sian and Michael are delightful hosts. The breakfast was something else - fresh berries and yoghurt and/or cereals to start and then try the smoked salmon and scrambled egg if you don'y fancy the full Irish. Follow up with a piece of porter cake!!

“Absolutely the best B&B in the UK”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2010

We were lucky to find someone had cancelled and a room was vacant. A huge beautifully appointed room, the breakfast fantastic and the best soda bread ever. These premises were the best accommodation we had during our 5 week trip. If you are a fussy traveller and want the best here it is. Just like being at home. Thank you and will highly recommend.
