My third return visit to Theresa and Albert and I certainly hope that this will continue for a long time. Every aspect of the visit was second to none...,the welcome the accommodation , the food the atmosphere, the converstions the warmth and kindness of Theresa leave this place in a very special place in my heart.
Well done to both the host and the hostess for continued perfection in welcoming guests into their home.

This is really a top-notch guesthose. Each suite is uniquely decorated. Would love to go back and try each one.The before dinner drinks in the cocktail lounge with fireplace was wonderful. The three course dinner is absolutely marvelous, served most elegantly! Breakfast is just as wonderful. Would have loved to have stayed longer. Before we left Theresa showed us the beautiful little kitten which showed up at her door one day and which she intended to keep as company for her own beautiful Lab.As animal lovers we were as much impress by her kindness as well as her wonderful guesthouse.

A few minutes walk, on the edge of Donegal town......a lovely setting.
The whole place was great - but the dining experience was OUTSTANDING! Fresh beautifully prepared and presented. The bread was incredible - divine! Theresa is a gracious host and provided perfect dining service. Would have loved to have stayed longer......plans to return in the future

This is an absolutely lovely guesthouse. The rooms are large, spotless and well appointed but what sets it apart is the congenial hosts and their staff and the over-the-top food. They offered a broad selection, the presentation was nice, the service impeckable but most imprtantly, delicious! Sophisticated dining in rural Ireland! Even down to the basic brown bread served everywhere we went; their's was the best. Ask Theresa for the recipe!! The only negative thing I can think of is that it is not in town so if you don't have a car, it's a bit inconvenient. On the other hand, if you have a car, that might be a plus.

My friend and I were very much pleased with our stay at Ard Na Breatha. Theresa was most welcoming and helpful; Albert is an exceptional chef and Sarah goes above and beyond in serving the wonderful dinners. She is a true asset to a very fine experience.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in Donegal. It is just far enough from the center of town to give a warm country feeling and yet be completely accessible. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable; the fire for before dinner drinks is a welcome addition and the food is superb. Both Sarah and Theresa were helpful in planning our day excursions.
