“Absolutely Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 May 2011

I have just returned from a weekend in Cork with 5 female friends, we are all in our early twenties. On the Friday, some of us arrived very early (8 a.m.) and were greeted with a smile and a full Irish breakfast (although they hadn't been expecting us that early). Brendan was brilliant, he couldn't do enough for us - but without being overbearing or pushy, he was just very friendly and always willing to help and offer advice about where to go. The rooms are clean, tidy and spacious. The price is a true bargain for what you get. There is a large selection for breakfast: fresh orange juice, apple juice, scones, yoghurts, variety of cereals, as well as pancakes, omlettes, a continental breakfast and full Irish breakfast which were delicious. One morning we sat downstairs chatting for a full 2 hours and not once were we made to feel like we should leave or get out of the way. When some of our party arrived the royal wedding was on, and keen not to miss anything we rushed straight into the living room and plonked ourselves down to watch the tv.... we are still unsure as to whether or not we should have actually been in there (afterwards we thought we might have actually invited ourselves into the private living room) but Brendan got tea, biscuits and settled down to watch it with us. He ordered us taxis to take us to the dogs, taxis to take us into Kinsale and even found some discount vouchers for shops for us. The location was fantastic, a short 5/10 minute walk into the town centre and on a quiet but safe road. I cannot praise Audley House enough, if you are looking for anywhere to stay in Cork, I would recommend to stay there. All of us loved it and if any of us go back to Cork, we will definitely be staying at Audley House.

Room Tip: We had 1, 7 and 10- 10 is the biggest

“Very Attentive.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 April 2011

Brendan was so attentive to our needs. He kept our bellies full, and hooked us up with wine glasses and playing cards when when we wanted to have a quiet night. It's little things like that that I appreciate. The rooms were clean and the location was great.

“Comfortable & close to Cork centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 March 2011

Very friendly, nice lounge, comfortable room, close to city centre, good breakfast.
Ticks all the boxes for a city b&b, we'll go back there next time.

“Excellent Place to Stay in Cork City”

Finished my business in Cork City by about 3pm on a Friday evening. I decided to explore Cork city rather then leave and return home straigh away. I found this gem of a B&B by accident. I received a warm welcome from the woman of the house. The room was clean comfortable and cosy. The following morning the man of the house gave me great tips on how to spend my day in Cork city. His advice meant that I had a wonderful day. The breakfast was excellent. I do not like to gush about anything but this place was very very very good and I would be happy to recommend it to others.

“Audley House had a warm inviting feeling from the minute we arrived.”

We traveled to Ireland to visit our daughter who is attending Cork University for the Fall semester. We chose Audley House because we knew it would be close to the school. When we arrived at Audley House we had already spent more than 24 hours traveling and we were very tired. Brendan, our host at Audley House was there to greet us with a warm cup of tea and a warm welcome. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Everything you mioght need was provided and if it wasn't, Brendan was sure to get it for you. He was very knowledgeable on the immediate area as well as places to visit as we traveled around Ireland. We stayed three nights and each morning woke to an unforgetable Irish breakfast, cooked with TLC by Brendans wife and served by Brendan himself. He would send us off each day with a few tips for our day and his umbrella, just in case. We have already talked about going back to Ireland, and would put a call in to Brendan to save us a room and put in our order for breakfast.
