“Beautiful views, friendly staff, good hotel”

Stayed here with a Lidlbreaks.ie deal. One night B&B + Dinner package. The Hotel is situated a hillside in the Montenotte area of Cork. Views were stunning, looking across Galway city. Check in was quick, friendly and informative. Room was a good size. Really nice relaxed feel. Really warm when we arrived.. bit too hot, so turned down the rad. Lovely leasure centre and pool in the hotel.
The bar has the same stunning views of cork.. Lots of people in the bar - dining room were enjoying high tea. Served on a three tired tray with fancy cakes and sandwichs and pot of tea. It must be a speciallity in this hotel. I recommend the hot chicken wings of the bar menu. Yummy!!!
Breakfast was equally as nice, very relaxed dining room, as much food tea-coffee as you wanted.

Id recommend this hotel.. only downside.. No beauty spa :( But just ask
.. reception will recommed good local spa or salon

Room Tip: ask for city view

Dear Loves2Listen

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review on The Best Western Montenotte Hotel. I am delighted to hear that you had such an enjoyable time in the Hotel. Next time you visit I recommend you to try our Afternoon Tea which is a definite local favourite, we would love to have the availabilty of a spa but taking your comment on board I am happy to announce we have a massage therapist on site starting from next week. Booking in advance would be recommended and her rates are very reasonable. I hope I can welcome you back in the future in the meantime if I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kindest regards

“Highly Recommended”

Coming from New York, I recently traveled to Cork for business. I searched quite extensively on the internet for the right place to stay, and while in Cork I also saw some of the other hotels in the city to compare them against the Montenotte.

I can say without a doubt that the Montenotte will be my preferred destination for my next visit to Cork.

Beautifully situated atop a hill overlooking the city skyline, the Montenotte is a stone's throw away from city center and at the same time offers a relaxed setting for the discerning traveler.

The hotel has a wonderful ambiance and the staff were always helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed, and the leisure center was a treat. In addition, the hotel's bar and restaurant offer a great place to grab a bite or unwind with friends/colleagues.

Highly recommended.

“My trip to Cork”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

I stayed with my boyfriend at the hotel for my first weekend trip to Ireland. We had a lovely room, really exceptional service and all at good value for money. I would recommend this hotel to any friends or family looking to visit Cork.

“Afternoon tea”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

We had afternoon tea and it was the worst we ever had, stale sandwiches, Madeira cake worse than a cheap cafe, tea not hot enough, supposed to be €14 a head normally, we got it for €10 for 2 with groupon and it wasn't even worth that.
