“Nice comfortable rooms.”

This is a very simple hotel offering good, clean, nicely furnished rooms in a very convenient location. There is no bar, restaurant, or spa but the price of the room reflects this making it the perfect place to stay if all you're looking for is a room for the night. The staff I encountered were friendly and efficient. Free private parking is available at the front of the hotel. In cork city, where it can be difficult to find parking, this is a real bonus.

Room Tip: Rooms to the front overlook the river and are far enough from the road (far side of the river) so th...

“Great Location, Great Price”

We didn't have lodging reserved when we visited Cork but were very happy we found this place. It is right next to a large luxury hotel but is less than half the price.
The accommodations are comfortable and clean but the location is definitely its best asset. You can be in the heart of Center City Cork in less than 5 minutes walking.

“Night in Cork”

I stayed for a night with my partner in the Lancaster Lodge. It is in an excellent location very close to the city centre. Free parking is a big plus in the middle of the city. The hotel lobby is basic but the room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Free WiFi in the rooms was also good. Sadly, the in-room safe wasn't big enough to fit a 13" laptop. Generally I found this hotel reasonable value for money and would certainly stay again, primarily due to its location.

“Very Enjoyable Stay”

My wife and I recently stayed for three nights at the Lancaster Lodge in Cork. On entering the Lodge one sensed this would be an enjoyable stay. The room was on the fourth floor, very clean with a comfortable bed and a powerful shower. Very little noise.

Breakfast was from 7am to 10am. Perfectly adequate with excellent service.

The Lodge was about ten minutes walk from the centre of Cork where we enjoyed three very good evening meals in different restaurants.

Just a shame it rained so much.

“A lovely hotel in a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

We stayed here to be close to town and UCC and the location is perfect. Walking distance to both. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Couldn't fault it. We paid a little extra for the jacuzzi suite which size wise was perfect, bigger than the average room but I wouldn't go rushing out to get it for the jacuzzi alone, the bath was very small and not as luxurious as the pictures would make it seem. Its really a sitting bath rather than a lying bath. The breakfast in the hotel was very nice, a good selection and the hot breakfast is served to you rather than a buffet which is nice. You do need a bit of extra time for a hot breakfast as it is made to order. Finally, the only other problem we experienced was some noise from a bar across the road. Easily fixed with a closed window.

Room Tip: If you want a bit more room go for a suite but dont bother with a jacuzzi, its too small. Rooms at t...
