“Good business hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

The Radisson at Cork Airport is my usual haunt when in Cork on business. It's nice to be out of the town and access to the ring roads/tunnel is good - obviously by air, it would be even better! Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the food in the bar is tastly - although changes in the menu have removed the Mexican Burger, poor for the taste but probably better for the health...

Breakfast is buffet style and there's always plenty of choice.

Staff are friendly and helpful, free Wi-Fi very useful for work and overall the hotel is an excellent base for a short break or business trip in Cork.

Room Tip: Top floor tends to be quieter - options for the enthusiast to have rooms with a great view of the ai...

“Functional”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

The decor isn't exactly as exciting as you'd find at other Radissons but at the end of the day it's an airport hotel and a good one at that, it's clean, comfortable and the staff are helpful and courteous, Ideal for any one traveling from Cork airport as it's right across the road.

We ordered room service, it arrived quickly and tasted great, could be doing with a better TV in the room though.

“Excellent - better than much more expensive hotels.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011 via mobile

Literally 2 mins from the airport. Large comfortable rooms (with full size desks) , nice lounge and bar, cracking hot breakfasts, friendly staff and free wi-fi.
What else do you need.

“Nice welcome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

We stayed on two occasions during November. Both times we were welcomed by name, and on the second visit, given mail that had been sent during our absence. We left luggage between visits as well. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean. The restaurant was used only for a buffet breakfast, which was quite nice (E10 per head). The bar was well serviced and bar snacks quite tasty. Although we didn't have to park our car between our visits, that facility is available , as is a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. All in all, a good experience.

Room Tip: Ask at reception for any special requests.

“Clean, comfortable but not much personality”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

I wanted a cheap 'n' cheerful stay for a night before a Christmas shopping blitz of Cork city. My partner had stayed in the nearby Cork International Airport hotel and wasn't unduly impressed so I thought I would try out their nearest neighbour. At 69 euro bed-ony, I was second cheapest in the city - the Travelodge would have been 10 or 20 euro less but I thought the Radisson brand might be worth the extra. The car park barrier was broken so I didn't have to pay the €4.50 overnight charge which I think is ridiculous anyway, given it's an industrial site and no need to be charging. A lovely helpful man checked me in and I said I would ring down later to confirm times of buses from the airport to the city. My room was clean, comfortable, a tiny bit chilly but the decor, while not very exciting, was recently enough updated. It's a kind of gaudy blue wall with while adjoining walls, but there was a nice desk and office seat, with free web access. The small telly was dated but all enough channels and good reception. The shower was good pressure, and hot. Towels clean and fluffy, more in wardrobe. The only thing missing in the entire set-up was a toilet brush, which may prove important if you are sharing a room!
When I rang down for the bus times, the shift had changed and the lady wasn't as helpful as her colleague. It would be another half hour for a bus so I decided to get a taxi. I ordered from her in the lobby but 20 mins later I was still waiting. When I asked her to check she was quite abrupt and said it wasn't long since she had ordered it. Being familiar with Cork, I knew it would have taken about half that time to drive from the city to the airport. But I don't know why they don't have a link with the taxis at the airport terminal which is only 2 mins up the road, rather than ringing a company in the city centre - it doesn't make sense.
Anyway, a very relaxing night's sleep was had, the rooms seem pretty sound proofed. the bed was comfy and white linen clean. The lady on check out the next morning was very nice so all was redeemed! However, a Radisson standard hotel this does not seem to be. But for a cheapish overnight with minimum fuss but not a lot of personality, it's certainly worth a look.

Room Tip: There is no great view from any part of this hotel - unless you like airport terminals, which, bizar...
