“Pleasant stay...”

The rooms are comfortable and the Hotel itself is clean and staff are helpful. The downside is the location of the hotel which upon reading its website is different from the actual location. The hotel is supposed to be close to the city center but it was in fact a short cab ride. The "SPA" was more like a run down community swimming pool.

Our room was on the 6th floor and must been a smoking room before as the room had a definite odor.

However i would recommend this hotel as the food and room were pleasant enough.

Room Tip: 6th floor rooms are ex smoking rooms

“Great Hotel”

My wife and I along with our five-month old daughter stayed following a midweek deal. When we arrived l felt maybe not a child friendly hotel but l was completely wrong, the staff were extremely helpful giving us a great family room and cot, the hotel breakfast dining area was fantastic, great food and friendly service. Our dinner was served in our room (as we knew our daughter would need to be asleep by early evening) and it was fantastic. Overall, great hotel and great value for money, don't have any reservations about bringing small children too..

“Great value and friendly staff”

Firstly, really shocked at some of the recent reviews... you can't please everyone I suppose..

Just returned from 4 nights stay for a residential training course and have to stay it's probably one of the best value trips I've had in the last couple of years.

Firstly I think the staff make it- in the bar, in the restaurant, on reception and also in the conference suite all the staff were very helpful, always smiling and available to help. Nice rooms, free wireless throughout the complex, great breakfast, and only a 5 minute taxi ride to the centre.

We ate in the restaurant and bar and had no complaints at all.

Great to have full gym facilities available although an early morning hill climb in the dark certainly wakes you up!!

For me, this is an ideal choice for anybody on business in Cork.

“v good”

We checked in here on the 03rd of February & we stayed here for 2 nights bed only. On arrival the hotel had loads of parking which was great & the receptionist was really very nice, and explained the hotel facilities etc. We proceeded to our bedroom which was on the 6th floor, the room was really cosy & nice and airy as well. There was an ample supply of towels etc, & bathroom accessories. Flat screen TV as well. We were really pleased with the bedroom. We had dinner at the bar which was lovely & reasonably priced. The bar staff were lovely & very helpful, outstanding guys. We went swimming the following evening the hotel gave us passes to the health suite 10 mimute walk away from hotel, The facilities were good, Jacuzzi, Steam Room & Sauna also the pool was great. One thing for the hotel to take in to consideration is maybe spot check bedrooms before guests check in as the light over the bed wasnt working. Otherwise hotel was good & will return.

“This is not a 4 star hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

My first time in this hotel and my last. I booked into this hotel late in the evening, i was working in cork city that day and had to head to Mallow the next day which was ideal as this hotel is on the mallow road.
I went to the bar and order the red thai curry with boiled rice, it was terrible, must have been reheated as it was produce very quickly. I couldn't even cut into the rice with a knife, i didn't eat it or complain, i was tireed after a long day (my mistake, i should have complained).
I read a book for a while in the lobby area off the bar and headed to be around 9:30pm. My room was on the 4th floor and while trying to sleep i could hear people outside the hotel chatting whilst having a smoke at the entrance to the hotel, 4 floors below. I got up to check if my window was open, but it wasn't. After twisting and turning for a hour i eventually got sleep until i heard somebody knocking at my door.
I saw that it was 2:30am and chose not to answer the door, the person knocked 4 times and then my hotel phone rang, it was reception telling me to answer the door, that the waiter was outside with the drink i ordered.
I got out of bed and told te waiter that i did not order any drink and he simply grunted and walked away. I spent another while trying to get back to sleep. The next morning i was up and checking out before 8:00am as i had to be in mallow at 9. The woman i reception asked me if i had a nice stay, so i told her no, and explained what had happened.
All she could say was sorry and i hope to have you stay with us again (what a robotic response) i told her i would never stay here again, nor would i recommend this hotel to anyone. she made no attempt of trying compensating me at all, and charge me the full 69euro for room only rate.
This hotel is not in anyway a 4 star hotel, stay clear, trust me!
