“nice hotel, lovely Spa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

We were only staying here one night unfortunately, but none the less it was nice. Rooms nice & clean, tea/coffee available in room. Nice balcony overlooking the gardens. Had a spa treatment, really lovely Spa.
Meal in hotel restaurant was great, beautiful food & good wine selection. Breakfast was good also. Was hoping for a few cocktails at the bar, but unforunately they didn't have a cocktail list :(
Bit of noise outside with what appeared to be late night revellers, but couldn't tell where noise was coming from as its a bit away from a main road, so I think it may have been guests messing outside.
Would stay again.

“Consistently excellent value & excellent staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

I have taken a mid-January bridge weekend break with friends in the Maryborough for the past 6 years and every year has been a very enjoyable experience from booking in to checking out. The staff are professional and have that "personal touch" which makes all the difference. I have seen them operate under real pressure with hundreds of demanding bridge players descending on the dining room and still keep their cool! And any request or minor complaint I have had over the years has been dealt with immediately and efficiently.

The rooms are tastefully decorated with every modern amenity. I like to have breakfast in the room (at €8 extra cost) and have found room service to be consistently excellent.

The food is good and the spa area (which costs €10 per day) lovely. The pool, sauna and steam room are free to guests and never over-crowded. There really are no minus points to the Marybourough. So go ahead and book in confidence!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the garden are very quiet and some garden rooms have an outside balcony - which could b...

Dear DublinEvelyn,

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at the Maryborough Hotel & Spa, and for taking the time and effort to write such a wonderful review.

We really do appreciate the bridge tournament's continuous loyalty and support. It is wonderful to read such positive comments and to also read that the service has remained the same for the past six years.

In relation to our thermal suites in the spa they are now free to all guests, so you can even enjoy it more next year on your return.

Once again thank you again for continuing to choose the Maryborough Hotel & Spa and I look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

Warmest Regards

“Extended Weekend Break”

My husband and I have just returned from a 3 night stay in the Maryborough Hotel & Spa. We had a wonderful time that commenced with our very warm welcome from the receptionist and this welcome continued through all areas of the hotel. Our room was very clean and comfortable, leisure centre and spa are very clean, fresh and user friendly. We had dinner in the hotel each night, as the food and service was so good we decided not to venture out to any of the local restaurants. Breakfast was very leisurely, varied and tasty. We shall definitely be back.

“Catch up with friends”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Really lovely, very modern hotel with an old house-hotel feel. Great atmosphere. Staff very friendly and attentive. A small error was made with a main course order but was rectified to our satisfaction with complimentary drinks offered to apologise for delay. Delicious food. Staff throughout our stay were lovely to deal with. Room extremely comfortable, check out not until 12midday which made it a proper break with "lie-in" included! Would definately return and would recommend to any family and friends planning a trip to Cork. Would love to have tried the spa treatments but thought they were a little pricey at the moment. You do have the option to use some of the spa facilities for a very small fee during you stay.

“Excellent Hotel Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

My husband and I have just come back from a very enjoyable stay at The Maryborough Hotel and Spa in Cork. The customer service in all areas of this hotel was top class. The Receptionist accompanied us to our room which made us feel very welcome. The waiting staff were exceptional. The spa was the nicest I have been to. The staff in all areas of this hotel are trained to make the guest feel welcome and cared for. I would describe this hotel as excellent and would recommend it to anyone!

Room Tip: The Spa rooms are quieter
