“Wonderful stay in Cork by the river.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012 via mobile

Lovely, clean, rooms. Nice helpful staff. Amazing breakfast as buffets go. Late finish too. Was having brunch sat and sun. Downside was that my mother was woken up in the night by a couple who obviously were enjoying their break. Fair play. But, mum thought they were under her bed at first and was totally freaked out. I slept through the disturbance but I do agree that the walls are thin. We looked over the river and within 5 to 10 mins walk we were on st Patrick street. The Car park is 1st come 1st serve. We was ok and had a space whole 4 days. Would use hotel again. Had a wonderful time.

“Good - depends what you need”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

If you need bed and breakfast - it's ok. We didn't need anything else as whole day we spent outdoor doing some sightseeing and shopping.
Good breakfast, room at the back of the hotel so no noise from the street. Two not nice things: we could hear people talking behide the wall. Receptionist, very nice but didn't know which bus we need to get to Kinsale (she had to check the book or some directory which was on the table next to the reception).I understand that you don't have to know everything but bus number to a pretty popular place would be good to know if you work in a hotel in Cork.

“Food is awful!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

Just back from a weekend away in Cork with my boyfriend. The hotel is lovely, however we didnt find the staff very friendly. Also the breakfast wasnt very nice, although it did serve until 12 at the weekends. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant one the saturday night, the quality of the food was extremely poor for the prices, and also received the wrong starter. Only two customers in the bar, so this can not be out down to how busy it was. Overall our stay was okay, but i wouldnt be rushing back in a hury.

“The friendly city!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

Stayed in Jurys Inn, Cork in the middle of December. We love Cork City, it's always so vibrant, colourful and alive. Jurys Inn is a very clean and comfortable hotel in a great location for easy pedestrian access into the main shopping area. There are also plenty of places to eat There's limited parking in a small car park at the rear of the hotel, and we were lucky enough to find a free spot there when we arrived. Other than that, there is pay-parking around the vicinity of the hotel. We had a lovely room overlooking the River Lee and despite the busy thoroughfare just outside our window, we couldn't hear a sound during the night, which was great. Breakfast was very good, and there was plenty of it. Staff are very friendly, and we have found that this is the rule rather than the exception when visiting Cork, whether it be in hotels or restaurants. Would recommend Jurys Inn to anyone wishing to stay in Cork.

“Nice Hotel, Good Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

Stayed here just last weekend, for a weekend break in Cork for a pre-Christmas shopping trip. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to Patrick Street. (Main Street). This hotel was good value, clean and well located, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Car parking is limited and we used the public car park across the street which worked out at 25€ for the weekend.

Our stayed included breakfast, for which there was a sufficient selection of fruit, cereals, full fry, breads, rolls, tea coffees juices for self service.

We had booked two rooms, however there was a couch bed in one of rooms which had a thin mattress and wasn’t really suitable for two adults who booked twin rooms! ( but we didnt complain or change rooms)The second room had a single and double bed which is more acceptable. The bathrooms were a little dated however they were spotlessly clean.

We ate in the hotel for dinner one evening and this too was pleasant. Service was good, even though the menu was a little limited.

Overall a pleasant stay.
