Just back from a weekend stay with my patner i was thoroughly impressed with this Hotel totally due to the customer service we received from start to finish. The Hotel is only walking distance to the city centre and the rates were very reasonable. The rooms were a good size and had a flat screen tv in the room..The hotel had free wifi and parking which is a bonus for a city centre Hotel will return

“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Stayed for one night in a triple room on the top floor. Luckily we managed to get a parking space at the hotel. The room was comfortable with a large bathroom. Enjoyed a swim in the pool. Short walk to the city centre, the area felt safe enough. Didnt eat at the hotel but enjoyed a nightcap at the bar. Would stay again.

Dear blondesrule25,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel.

Thank you very much for your positive feedback on Mary and breakfast. I am sorry you found the hotel to be noisy, the room a bit cold and the water cold in the shower. It is a pity that you did not contact reception during your stay whereupon these issues could have been corrected. I have passed your feedback on to the relevant departments to ensure the issues that you experienced do not reoccur.

I look forward to hopefully welcoming you back in the future to the Maldron Hotel Cork City.

“Superb!”

From the moment myself and my Girlfriend arrived we were made feel most welcome by the extremely helpful/friendly Lady at the Reception.Having made our way to our room we found it very comfortable, with a lovely hot powerful shower, and everything you can expect to find in your hotel Room,e.g. coffee, tea, spare towels/pillows etc. In the evening we headed down for our dinner which i can only describe as devine. The Waitress was very friendly and very efficent. We then headed into the city which was a mere 3 minutes walk away,so got the opportunity to walk off a bit of the dinner anyway :) In the Morning we headed down for our breakfast, which again I have to say was delicious. The Chap who seated us was so bubbly and friendly,He would put a smile on your face for the day.We then headed for a quick swim etc before checking out.Again (the same lady) was there and again was so lovely to us on our departure. We even got to visit a few tourist attractions,The Shandon Bells,The butter museum, and The Firkin Crane are literally a 20 second walk up the Hill.I have stayed in many hotels both in Ireland and abroad, and I can safely say this was in the top 3. What made it all the more remarkable we got all this for little over €100 for both of us which I reckon it would be hard to find anywhere else. Better stop writing now as my fingers are getting sore, but I felt it only right I give it the Credit it truly deserves.
