“cork city centre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

we stayed in a 2 bed apartment at the end of October. A first class place to stay in central Cork,10 minutes walk to the centre of town. The apartment was as described, nicely furnished with a fully equipped kitchen,2 bathrooms one en-suite with a shower and another with bath. The beds were comfortable. The sitting room, with dining table in the bay window was adequately furnished, with a up to date flat screen tv, dvd,and with wifi throughout. The apartments overlooking the river were quiet and with lovely view of the river. The added bonus was that on the ground floor there was a brilliant bistro/restaurant, we ate there for 3 nights out of 5 and was very good value. The owner, Dominic ,and the staff in the retaurant were very attentive at all times and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you.

Room Tip: rooms overlooking the river

“Great location but shockingly basic!”

When I think of serviced apartments I think of homely self catering apartments with hotel like facilities! Alas this is not what this place is!

Although spacious the rooms were very basic with old ikea style furniture! The bed sheets provided were old, faded and tatty and sofa in the living room was torn with a filthy blanket thrown over it! The bathroom although acceptable has seen better days and the sink was filthy, looked like make up was caked all over it from previous guests.

Parking wasn't too bad! For the 2 nights we stayed (we didn't move the cars) we only paid €10 but I would suggest offloading your luggage before you park as there is a bit of a walk.

The worst thing about this place however was the NOISE! None of my party got an adequate nights sleep! Even on the second floor it sounded like we had pitched a tent in the middle of a roundabout at a busy junction! It was terrible! The double glazing windows had no effect and I would be surprised if the Walls had any insulation in them. Also the room got very stuffy even after the window was opened (eas already noisy so that didn't make a difference)!

However to bring balance I must admit that the location is superb! It is only a short 5 minute walk to the Patrick's street area and associated nightlife with some wonderful restaurants within short reach!

I would not consider this to be a "serviced hotel apartment"! Even a request for extra towels and toilet paper seemed to be met with some bemusement! This place is simply an apartment block which you can rent basic furnished accommodation for short term use and no more!

I would only return if I was really stuck!

“Excellent Apartments On The River Lee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2011

If your looking for a home from home on your visit to Cork you won't do better than the Indigo Apartments.

These very clean and well located apartments have a great view over the River Lee.

The apartments are privately owned and run so the little things are never a problem and help for whatever reason is always on hand.

The apartments are large, light and very well equipped with everything on hand to make your stay a pleasant one.

Excellently located in the centre of town with all amenities (shops, bars etc.) all within easy walking distance.

Parking is in a multi story car park at the rear of the apartments about a two minute walk away, I didn't use a car on my visit but was told by someone that did that a reduced parking rate is available if booked in advance.

We enjoyed our stay immensely and any further trip to Cork would be preceded by a call to The Indigo Apartments.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the River not the road.

“Spacious and comfortable, right in City Centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2011

My friends and I had a most enjoyable stay at Westview Apartments. The 2 double bedroom apartment had a large bathroom and 1 ensuite bedroom. There was a dishwasher, large tv, washing machine and cooking facilities,as well as a microwave and oven. The apartment was spacious, modern, clean and had a nice view over the water. There were 2 balconies and there was a lot of light coming in. It was right in the city centre which was convenient for going shopping and enjoying the nightlife. I would recommend this place if you are looking for self catering accommodation and I will certainly book again when I have friends visiting Cork and Ireland..
