“Great stay in special manor house”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

We stayed one night. The rooms were large and both opened onto the upstairs patio where two kittens joyfully played the next morning. Great entertainment. There are also three friendly dogs. The rooms had clean showers or tubs, canopy beds and tv's as well as tea and coffee service. Breakfast with Declan's brother in law was the best, he was so entertaining and interested in american politics, made for very lively conversation. There are also many books worth looking through in the "library table" . There is a chinese restaurant in the strip mall nearby that could be walked to. The wireless had problems and only worked for 10 minutes of our stay but that seemed to happen frequently at the B&B's.

“We loved this place”

While traveling around Ireland recently, our best stay was at Newpark House Bed and Breakfast in Ennis, County Clare. The beautiful historic house and large bedrooms, the extensive forested grounds, the delicious breakfast with homemade breads, and the friendly and warm hosts (Bernie and Declan) all contributed to a very memorable visit to this lovely area in Ireland. We were also pleased with the B&B's location--very quiet, peaceful surroundings, yet quite close to the bustling, small town of Ennis with lots of shops and places to listen to traditional Irish music (check out Brogan's Pub)....

Very nice old Manor House. Peaceful setting. Loved all the history and grand main rooms with antiques. Wonderful breakfasts, cereal to Full Irish, cooked to order. Declan is very interested in and helpful with genealogy if you are their to find your "roots". Bernie was most enjoyable and help with a call to get us horseback riding.

“So Very Irish”

By far the most picturesque B&B we stayed at in Ireland. The rooms were lovely, very clean and beautifully furnished. One of the great things about Newpark House is that you can walk to a nice pub, Chinese restaurant or grocery store and not be forced to drive if your not quite used the driving on the left yet. It is so beautiful and mysterious looking and peaceful at the same time with the black cattle fenced in across the drive. Highly recommended.

“rustic b&b best value family rate in ennis”

lovely setting with cows and dogs around mature trees etc 2min taxi ride into ennis for amazing late dinner with the kids in rowen tree restaurant by the river.we had a fine big bedroom with a teeny balcony which was great, communal breakfast was at a big table in dining room which is very sociable, the food was good but the addition of fresh berries, fresh fruit salad , organic yogurt, homemade bread/scones would have made the stay perfect.
