After a few drinks in Glasgow and Balloch, I took the train to Bowling to get a good sleep. As there were no taxis outside, I walked the 20 minutes to the travelodge and received a warm welcome on arrival.
The room was clean and comfortable, and although it is fairly near to the stations, it would probably better suit a car trip than a train one. Everything works fine, and is in the standard Travelodge format.
The next morning I opened the curtains and saw a thick blanket of snow, but thankfully the double glazing did its job and I didn't hear any traffic noise slushing in the snow. With 40 minutes to spare, I got a drink in the garage next to the hotel, I asked which is the nearest station and was told it was 50-50. I decided to walk to Dumbarton East and found the walk further than from Bowling, this may be beneficial to anybody thinking of doing the same.
