“Ignore the others! Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

Stayed because of location near relatives we were visiting, arrived in pouring rain and were made very welcome by the receptionist/barmaid.
The rooms were fine for a one night stay, clean, warm and comfortable if not over exciting.
We took the option of dining in the restaurant and were very glad we did. The menu choices are many and the quality of the food far above expectations. The home made Pate in particular was first class and the duck in plum sauce was to die for. Our party of five all cleared our plates and left the table well satisfied.
Don't be put off by the surroundings which aint' their fault The Radnor is well worth the effort.

“super hotel, wonderful staff, excellent food. Thank to all staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2010

I brought a party of 25 Naval Veterans for a 3 night reunion. The staff could NOT have been better. The food was excellent, and plenty of it.The rooms were very reasonable, and clean and tidy. ANYTHING we asked for was seen to. The price charged was also excellent. I would recommend this very friendly, and comfortable Hotel to anyone, and would certainly stay there again. I would hope the few of my party who have a computer, would leave favourable comments also, but we ALL enjoyed our visit, immensely. Thank You All. Mick

“Excellent Time would definately recommend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2010

Stayed at the hotel a couple of weeks ago for 2 nights for my sisters wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better time. We found the staff to be very helpful. I was very surprised at the service we recieved as we were at another family wedding the following weekend in a well known 4 star hotel and I have to say that the Radnor came out on top for me. The staff were all on first name terms with our family and we really appreciated the personal touch. Our rooms were pretty good - good shower and new tv.

“Awful!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2010

Drove up to Hotel, new it was a mistake when we saw the sign outside and the high rise flats all around!! Had to wait at least 10 minutes to check in, as receptionist was in the bar serving next door. Room awful - stained carpets, dated furniture, old TV with only 4 channels, nothing like it looked on the website! They may have updated a few of the rooms, but ours was certainly not one of them. The heat in the room was unbearable too! Went down to breakfast, well, that was unbelievable, i will usually eat most things, but it was shocking - bacon nearly broke our teeth and was so salty, the sausage thing was terrible too, i left the whole plate of food (glad i had some crunchy nut cornflakes first)! Think the food had been cooked hours before and left under hot plates. The guy serving was also very miserable. We only stopped here as we were visiting a sick relative and we usually stay at a different and very nice hotel, but it was fully booked. Would never stay here again.

“Don't book it !!!!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2010

Booked this hotel as I was attending a funeral in Clydebank. Service, what service??? Booked a twin room for first night as that was all that was available, room was dirty, carpets full of stains need pulling up and destroyed !!!!!! Moved to double room second night , room worse if anything. Rooms stuffy two very small windows that open with a view on to a balcony full of cigarette butts, not accessible from room. Breakfast, website advertises continental and full Scottish breakfast, no sign of continental, no fruit juice when I asked for some "none left in fridge" was the reply. Breakfast consisted of greasy sausage, leather bacon, cardboard toast when it arrived !!!! egg was okay. The whole hotel needs a refurbishment and a good clean. The most pleasant member of staff I spoke to was the lady on reception as I checked out who I gave my opinion of the hotel too, she knocked 50 pounds off my bill but I still paid too much, the rooms are advertised at 75 pounds per night, shocking!!!! Do yourself a favour don't consider it!!! What I liked best checking out!!!!!
