“Will never go back - terrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2011

Don't know where the photographs came from must have been taken a very long time ago, very misleading, Luckily we were only booked in for one night, couldn't take my shoes off in the room, the carpets were dirty and the bathroom left a lot to be desired, the saving grace was that the bed was very clean, there was a wedding reception that night and the music went on till one in the morning so not much sleep, breakfast was poor - hard bacon and sausage it must have been a warm up, best bit was the exit. We went for a late night drink and bar area was no better, tired and worn and full of drunks.

“Hotel or doss house?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 July 2011

Booked into hotel for a wedding there - if you're thinking the same - DON'T!! Lost our booking (should have taken THAT as an omen...), stained carpets, marked furniture, and stains down the bathroom walls from the condensation, clearly dislodging the muck, and painted tiles.
Oh, and they don't bother evacuating you when the fire alarm goes off......staff disappeared fo 10 minutes to check if someone smoking!!!!
AKA Fawlty Towers?

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!!!

We stayed at this hotel because it was conveinient for where we wanted to be
Having read some of the negative reviews we did not know what to expect but when we arrived we were warmly greated by the lady on reception, our rooms were clean and the beds were spotless and very comfortable
There was a well stocked hospitality tray
We dined in the resteraunt and the food was to die for (I would recommend the steak pie it was amazing)every one in our party was delighted with their choice of food and it was amazingly cheap 25 pounds for 5 main courses
I would advice people to give this hotel a try and not to be put off with the negative reviews it has had in the past ,the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you oh and I almost forgot to mention the breakfast it was great and plenty of it

“never again”

i booked one of the halls for my mums 70th birthday, i paid the full 150 pounds as it was a great deal, due to mum being very poorly i had to cancel and i did give them 4 months notice, they have refused to give me a penny back which under the circumstances is very unfair, i would never recommend anyone booking a hall with them, i think i have been very unfairly treated.

“Ignore the others! Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

Stayed because of location near relatives we were visiting, arrived in pouring rain and were made very welcome by the receptionist/barmaid.
The rooms were fine for a one night stay, clean, warm and comfortable if not over exciting.
We took the option of dining in the restaurant and were very glad we did. The menu choices are many and the quality of the food far above expectations. The home made Pate in particular was first class and the duck in plum sauce was to die for. Our party of five all cleared our plates and left the table well satisfied.
Don't be put off by the surroundings which aint' their fault The Radnor is well worth the effort.
