This is not a fancy hotel, but it's very comfortable. The rooms are large and clean. It's located close to the ferry, the Abbey, and the major sights the island has to offer. The best part, however, is the food. The dinners are spectacular and have vegetarian options. They use organic produce grown in their own garden. The presentation of the food is very appealing.

Hotel has great views of Mull and the sea. Although to get to the hotel you have to walk up hill for 900 yards. Rooms small and basic. Food very nice. Service was very good.

Friendly and welcoming. Very good food. Very good service. Obliging staff. Delightful views from a peaceful lounge. Homely. Some creaks above our ground floor bedroom from the rooms above, but not anything that we could not sleep through. Thorougly enjoyed our stay, and looked forward to returning the hotel each evening.

After working on the Isle of Iona twice, I finally got to be a guest myself at the St. Columba Hotel and it was the best hotel of our trip. The rooms were great (the updated bathroom was especially nice!) and the food was absolutely amazing. We were told that the chef was on holiday that week, but you would never know it. David Galloway kept us completely stuffed with amazing seafood and the best banofee pie I've ever tasted. There are not too many hotel options on Iona, but the St. Columba certainly doesn't take their guests for granted. It was a remarkable stay.
