“Beautiful views and outstanding service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Stayed here in mid January for one night prior to taking a flight from Prestwick Airport. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Taking afternoon tea (with lovely homemade tablet) by a roaring fire was a joy. Dinner was outstanding. The quality of the food, presentation and attention to detail were superb. We had a lovely, quite large, room on the ground floor - great views - and obviously fairly recently refurbished. Free WiFi in the reception area is an added bonus. Breakfast was plentiful and, again, quality could not be faulted. There are not many 3 star hotels offering smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast. My one, slight, reservation is that the bed is made up with blankets rather than a duvet and, as we are unused to this, it wasn't quite as comfortable as it could have been, however, this is probably down to personal to taste. Nice to stay at a family run hotel where clients' welfare is of genuine concern to the owners and their staff. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely return to the Parkstone in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea view.

A great hotel to stay at. Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Great views of the sea from many of the rooms (but not mine!)
We ate in the restaurant and had a lovely dinner. Breakfast was excellent

Room Tip: You could ask for a sea view !

“Good old fashioned values”

I stayed in the Parkstone Hotel for a week while in the area on business and I would definately go back. Although the room was quite small, it had an excellent view of the sea and Arran, it was very clean and had everything that one would expect. In addition it had very good free wifi, something often missing from far more expensive hotels. I ate in the hotel on 3 evenings; the food was very good indeed, and the staff were attentive and very polite. Overall a very well run and staffed hotel.

We stayed for one night whilst visiting friends in local area. What a special place - the room was large with a sea front. From the moment we walked in we felt special. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was very fresh with not a speck of grease on plate and unlimited coffee & toast. Fantastic location overlooking beach but close enough to walk from town. Its not a modern hotel but the old-fashioned feel really adds to the charm & warmth. Would definately recommend & stay again when in area.

“You feel special at The Parkstone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

From the moment my wife and I stepped up to the Reception desk we knew that this was somewhere special.
The staff, led by the owner could not have done more to ensure our short stay was thoroughly enjoyed.
The wedding which we had attended there was of the highest standard.
The breakfasts were sumptious and the evening meal which we chose to take was first class.Only one blip - was the fact that the hot water in our room took ages to come through the tap and when it did it was a dribble.Still that would not put us off returning as the shower was terrific.Thank you Parkstone!

Room Tip: If you like to lie in,try to get a room away from the cleaner`s storeroom.
