I had a meal in here recently and the food was great. Really good size portions and excellent value for money. Sat outside in the sunshine which was even better.

i so have fallen in love with wee place on our first stay there was a mix up with the roons back on the 29th july but the young lady was so good she sorted us out with a sweet wee room (no3). after the mix up which was through the booking company she even help me get my money back cause of the carry on, she told us the room was a small room but to both our delights it was bang on as that night was a night where i really wanted to be down in ayr through my own reasons so for her to make the day which was stressful enough go so good after that, i was there just last fri again this time a bigger room but to be honest think next time i will ask if room 3 not taken, the food in the reastruant is out of this world the portions are fab and i could only manage two coarses for the prices well for both of us to eat two coarses and two drinks of cider it was between £35 first time and last fri £ 37 caus eit was different mains but value for money the whole hotel is clean tide and just right for couples, the breakfast wich is in the dould room price is spot on too, planning my next stay soon cant wait. I stayed here for 4 nights with a group of female friends for a reunion. I can honestly say this is the best hotel for hospitality that I've stayed in for years....and I travel worldwide often. At £45 a night for a room (single taking a double room) it's an absolute bargain. The staff were absolutely brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. Special mention must go to young Jack who bent over backwards to make our stay go smoothly. I had room 6 at the front of the hotel: It was huge, absolutely spotless and came with a flat screen tv. It also had a spacious ensuite with powerful shower. .
Breakfasts were excellent, with a choice of cooked or not. Their poached eggs were done to perfection which is very hard to do! We had lunch in the hotel and that was excellent too with a wide choice of sandwiches, paninis etc. The free bar snacks that were put out for customers were exceptionally good. These were not your usual peanuts and crisps but hot pakoras, samosas and other tasty treats...no wonder the bar is full on most nights!
All in all this is a great small hotel which I would highly recommend.

If I had a niggle it would be that because of the weight of them the huge windows in the bedroom were hard to open on your own....but no problem with help. But that pales into insignificance with the sheer value for money and good old fashioned service that this hotel provides..

Had an excellant stay at this hotel. Meal was out of this world. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. Room was beautiful and had a really good night sleep. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Very peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
