This hotel is in a great location,and has great potential,but,there were some problems
a lack of ready HOT WATER being one of them
Ayr itself is a really nice town and well worth a visit

I have always been a fan of tripadvisor and they're candid reviews but having read the last couple on this hotel I have to say I totally disagree with them. This place is a truly hidden gem, if your looking for the corporate brand where they're out to screw every penny out of you and treat you like cattle then stay elsewhere, this has the charming independent feel and the hosts are one of the nicest, kindest people I have ever met who certainly go out their way to make your stay enjoyable.For what you get its a steal at the price they charge!!

Beds were very uncomfortable and lumpy. The room was small, pokey and old-fashioned; which was a huge difference to the bedroom images shown on the hotel's website. Breakfast was the only meal served. The bar was empty for the entire duration of our stay. There was no private parking.
