Awful place, left a day early as we'd had no sleep for 2 nights. The room was freezing cold, no heat at all in the bathroom, and the mattress was old with very worn springs. There were no curtains only a thin ill-fitting blind which let all the streetlight in and the cheap double glazing didn't keep any of the road noise out.
We asked for a blanket and extra pillows as the duvet was thin and inadequate and we only had 3 very flat pillows between 2 of us. We did eventually get them but the person on duty on Christmas Eve threw a complete Kevin the teenager style strop about it; according to him he had to "take a room offline" to give us an extra duvet and pillows as the place has no spares?! He was obviously trained at the customer is never right school of hotel management from the way he went on about it, according to him nobody EVER in all his days had asked for another pillow or blanket-probably not considering his less than approachable attitude, can we suggest that for his next career move he considers manning the reception in a bail hostel?
This may be a budget hotel chain but they do promise a good nights sleep which is all we expected. Being cold in an uncomfortable bed isn't my idea of a good nights sleep.
