“Great bed & breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2007

We stayed here for two nights in July. The room was large and bright and when we arrived and found the beds were not made up to our request they were sorted out without any fuss. The breakfast was very good and the fresh fruit was lovely. The two vegetarians in our party were well catered for. I kept a look out for the cat but alas did not get to stroke him. We would stay here again.

Stayed July 2007

“Ok, but not fantastic”

After staying in several B&Bs throughout Scotland, this was not one of my favorites. We arrived in the afternoon and were greeted by a lady who did not introduce herself. In fact, she barely said a word. Showed us our room, 1st floor right in the door, which was great for lugging suitcases, and off she went. The room was average size, needed more lighting, and an outlet next to a mirror. The bathroom was fantastic! Huge and bright (even had a bidet). The next morning we saw (I think) the owner's (not the lady who greeted us) at breakfast. They never said anything other than taking our order - same way the next day. I don't have anything awful to say about this place. We just did not get the friendly atmosphere as in others.

The walk to town is only 10-15 minutes. Not bad at all.

“Brilliant Guest House”

My friend and I stayed in the Langley Bank Guest House whilst on a short break to Scotland and I must agree with the previous reviewer's opinion. It was terrific! The room we stayed in was a twin which overlooked the back garden and it was really peaceful lazing around doing nothing but drinking wine and reading books in the evening. Bob and Morna were really nice and the breakfasts were wonderful. It was lovely having fresh fruit every morning and the choice of a cooked breakfast or just toast (cooked just as we liked it, warm bread for my friend and well done for me!). The whole ambience of the place was that of relaxation, peace and quiet.
I have been waxing lyrical about my stay at the Langley Bank Guest House and thoroughly recommend it to all. My friend and I will most definitely be staying there on our next trip to Scotland.
PS Ricco the cat is huge and gorgeous
