“Really good guest house”

I only stayed at the guesthouse for 1 night and I arrived quite late into the evening but the place was lovely and the owner was really friendly and had already been into the room to draw the curtains and turn on the lamps and lights before I got there so it was homely as soon as you walked in. The decor in the rooms was really nice and cosy and the beds were really good quality. The attention to detail was good as they supply shampoos, conditioner etc as well as a good tea and coffee tray. I would highly recommend this place. I think the only negative I can think of was the light on the tv was so bright it lit up the whole room and I couldn't work out how to turn it off but I was really tired so it might just of been me.

“Tranquil October Break.”

My second stay at the Beechwood, and it was just as perfect as the first. David and Shona are friendly and welcoming hosts, and can't do enough to help you with whatever they can. The rooms, as I was there with my son and his girlfriend, were clean, well equipped, and welcoming. We stayed for three nights and I will definately be staying there again. Breakfast was just as the menu, and whichever way you required it cooked, it was carried out. I would recommend the Beechwood for any length of stay, and the room rates are very affordable. Ideal situated for Ayr, and for Prestwick Airport.

Room Tip: To anyone with limited ability for stairs, then you should mention this on booking as I believe most...

“first class guest house”

If you are in Ayr for any length of time and need a top quality guest house this is surely it.We arrived late sunday evening and were well informed previously by text + e-mail of the late check in procedure. We went to our suite (The Arran) and it became clear immediately we had found a beautifully decorated and very generously spaced suite. After a great nights sleep we went down for our breakfast to be spoilt by top quality produce and excellent service.I have nothing but positive things to say about Beechwood-it is in fantastic hands with David and Shona who couldnt do enough for us as a family-the great pity is we couldnt stay longer!

“A lovely guest house with lovely owners.”

We stayed here for 3 nights. The weather was terrible but the nice guest house made up for it. There was a bus stop right outside which meant we could get quickly into town without taking the car. plenty nice walks so I will have to return in better weather to appreciate it.Only down side was the noise of traffic at the front of the house if you have the window open overnight which I did, but that can't be helped. I will definatly stay here again.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, ask for room at back of house.

we stayed here just on our way to and holiday because we were flying from prestwick, Beechwood was clean and owners were very welcoming. we did have breakfast which showed a nice selection but bacon was not that great and the eggs were a bit under done. Overall a very nice place and we would return.
