“The Best B&B I have ever stayed in!!!”

I was booked here by the 'Walking Holidays' travel company and it was my last stop during one week Scotish Coast Hike. I knew nothing about the place prior to my arrival.

What a treat!!!! Room was tastefully furnished (5* standard) and breakfast was divine. The owners pampered us with attention and helpful advice on things to do in the city. We were picked up in town although perfectly happy just to try to find on our own. Hospitality beyond excellence. Exceeded all expectations.

Next time I come to Scotland, I will aim to go back to this heavenly place.

“Thank You Joyce & Michael”

I booked 26 The Crescent for our first Scottish Hogmanay & to celebrate my husbands 5oth Birthday and am so glad I did! Joyce & Michael from the very start of our stay were like old friends. The welcome we recieved was the warmest we have had and nothing was too much trouble for them. There were 5 in our party including our daughter and her fiance and my 83 year old mum who Joyce & Michael made such a fuss of she really didnt want to leave! Right from booking our stay we were offered advice on things to do and places to eat out, which was really helpfull as we had only stayed in Ayr once before. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable with lots of litttle touches like bottled water, sweets and lovely tioletries, and Michael brought us glasses and an ice bucket up so we could have a drink as we were getting ready to go out!, and we all agreed that Joyces breakfast was the best we have ever had. We went to the Ball at Ayr racecourse on New Years Eve which was also amazing, would definately recommend, so next day Joyce & Michael let us have a lie in ,as we didnt get back in until 2am ,and even served us Bucks Fizz with our lovely late breakfast! Thank you Joyce & Michael for our wonderfull stay and for looking after us all so well...XXXXX

“Love it!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012 via mobile

I've been to so many B&Bs before but this one is just brilliant. A colleague recommended to me as a place to stay when I'm working in Ayr, never has to find anywhere else! The friendliness, cleanliness, cosy-ness are examplary. I even brought my family over to enjoy the experience.
Michael&Joyce thanks a ton for your hospitality.

“Wonderful guest house”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

If you wanted a first class example of how to do the little things right and give customers a brilliant experience, then other hotel/B&B owners should book in for a night here. I was greeted with a smile and a handshake by Michael, the owner, who took my bag up to my room while I filled in the formal paperwork in the cosy lounge. I had a room towards the rear of the terraced house and it was spacious and well-appointed with little touches like Arran Aromatics toiletries, bottled water, chocolates and a dock for my IPod. The decor was restful and stylish, as it was throughout the house.

Hosts Michael and Joyce were helpful and attentive throughout. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked and served on posh crockery. The house is located on a quiet street close to Ayr town centre and seafront and there are several nice walks nearby.

The only drawback was that I could only stay for one night. But I will definitely return. Thanks for a brilliant experience.
