We booked last minute for this hotel and wanted a 'get away from it all.' We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly but not intrusive and we were shown to the Mackay room in the main building. The room was lovely, very spacious with stunning views over the gardens and surrounding countryside. We both had one of the most enjoyable fillet steaks for dinner we have ever eaten, Again the views from the huge windows were amazing.. A bottle of wine was reasonable at £21.50.
Breakfast was full scottish and left us full untill dinner time that day. This is a hidden gem and we had no hesitation in recommending it to our friends and family. The only drawback was the road up to the hotel which has some nasty potholes and should really be repaired, take care and drive slowly!!
