Under new management for a year now and the hotel and restaurant have been transformed and are maintaining the highest standards. Make sure a table at the restaurant is booked or there is likely to be disappointment.

Great service fabulous food good selection toilets really modern clean excellent place

We had dinner here after reading it had won an award for its food. We were not disappointed. There are plenty of choices on the menu and between 5 and 6 pm some courses are £7.95. I started with the prawn and crayfish cocktail and then had their chicken in a leek sauce which was piping hot and served with a variety of vegetables. You also get a basket of fries. The desserts are very good as well. We were all delighted with our choices and will certainly return. Service was efficient but not over friendly but I suppose that was down to the fact it was very busy. Toilets are excellent.

second time in ayr only this time we stayed at the berkely as we had a deal for 2 nights. Had our dinner on first night in berkely but decided to return to the kylestrome the 2nd night to eat as the last time we were there the food was lovely. Once again we were not disappointed, from start 2 finish the meal was beautiful. Must mention the chicken and prawn tempura again as it is still the best ive tasted. Had the mixed fish platter as a main dish, you can choose which fish you want. I opted for halibut, salmon and scallops all of which were cooked to perfection, no room for dessert. Cant wait for our next trip to ayr so we can sample more of kylestromes lovely food.
