we stayed here on 26th november after a day of christmas shopping, we decided to eat in the restaurant due to the terrible weather and because the hotel's website boasted about the Italian menu and wood burning oven for the pizza's. This turned out to be a big mistake, the pizza oven wasn't working but we weren't advised about this when ordering, my pizza came out directly after our starters were cleared away only to be raw, the base was uncooked and it was more the size you would expect if it was from a kids menu, it didn't even fill the plate - it was terribly over priced. The waiting staff didn't seem to have a clue either about the specials or drinks, and didn't seem interested in their customers. The restaurant and bar area is not ideal as you are right in the middle of the foyer with a draft hitting you every time the front door opened, not a relaxing atmosphere at all!!! The breakfast was just as shocking with it being a self service which wasn't even warm, apart from the fried eggs which were made to order and that was at 9am, wouldn't like to see it at 12pm. What I can't understand is with breakfast being served over such a long period, would it not be more cost effective and better for the customer for the breakfasts to be cooked to order (rather than the waste of uneaten food). Although we had no complaints about the room, the food was definatley over priced and not value for money, you have to even pay for the car park which is just shocking. We were disappointed with our experience at this hotel, and had thought that we would have used this hotel before flying out on our next holiday but we would not consider that now.
