“Lovely stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We had a great overnight stay. Exquisite afternoon tea with beautiful meringues and delicious sandwiches, fantastic breakfast (loved the figs cooked in earl grey tea). The linen on the beds was lovely, big room immaculately clean. The sitting room had a wood burning stove and it was very cosy to sit there while eating our salmon sandwiches. The service was warm and friendly and we will definitely be going back.

“Amazing b&b”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012 via mobile

I went to Pitlochry to meet some friends for some munro bagging. Took my bike, the trip out of town to the Dalshian was lovely.

This is a lovely old house, set in a wood, handy by car, a small trip if you arrive by train. But worth it!

The family who run it are so hospitable, they couldn't do enough. The breakfast was out of this world - they bake muffins, banana bread and all kinds of stuff alongside a great cooked breccie. It was actually magic.

In the room there is home made shortbread. The room was clean and large and great :)

“Most Enjoyable Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Stayed here for an overnight break with my husband and we were delighted with everything. Friendly attentive owner (we only met Heather), lovely warm comfortable room with large bathroom and very comfy bed. The afternoon tea served in the lounge was delicious. The breakfast menu was amazing with so many choices, I have never been in a hotel or guest house which offered to much. The house is an old period house and the decor and furnishings are in keeping with the tradition of such while being modern at the same time. You wont be disappointed.

Room Tip: We were in room 4 and although we could hear the traffic from the busy A9 when we arrived, once we c...

“Lovely attention to detail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012 via mobile

Just returned today from an overnight stay at Dalshian House which was bought as a gift. As this was our first stay in a B&B we we're very happy it was at Dalshian. We were greeted by Heather who gave us a lovely welcome and showed us to our room which was immaculately clean. It had some nice little extras such as fresh iced water, a selection of tea and coffees and Heather also offered to bring us fresh milk if we wished which was lovely.

We then went down into the lounge which had a fantastic fire for our afternoon tea. We were amazed at the quality of the home made cakes and sandwiches easily better than some 4 or 5 star hotels we have stayed in!

For breakfast the next day we went into the dining room which had a lovely warm fire and again it was fantastic! I had eggs benedict which is the best I've ever tasted by far! In addition to this you could order poached haddock or smoked salmon for example or pancakes with maple syrup! The attention to detail that Heather and Martin put into their food and hospitality is deserving of a visit.

Would recommend it and will stay again.
