We've visited the Atholl arms several times and always have a lovely time.
The hotel is a goregous old bedroom, but bear in mind it does mean that some of the rooms are a little "odd" shaped and the floors slightly sloping. I love the quirkiness of it - its not an identikit Hilton.
The staff are exceptional - friendly but not over bearing. We usually travel with our Border Collie, Jack, and he regularly receives treats whilst sitting in the bar, or just wandering about.
We've just got back from our latest visit and have been exceptionally well looked after.
Keep an eye on the website for special offers - we paid £110 for two nights b&b for us and the dog. Excellent value. Can't wait to return.

Went to the Atholl Arms for new year nine in our group, and what fun, great warm welcome Heather and staff really looked after us. After reading some of the reviews before hand was a bit worried but these people certainly didn't stay where we did. We were there for four days and it was lovely food was excellent to much of it infact, we were given drinks before dinner each night and plenty of champagne on the night, all free i might say, the scottish dancing was such fun we all had a go and the bag pipes at 12 really ended a great night. It had a lovely warm fire going in the lobby when we returned from our walks in the snow, could't ask for more we will be going back next year with a larger group by the sounds of it that is if they are not sold out already, thanks for a great break to Heather and her staff.

This must by now be our 5th or 6th trip back to the A.A. as our family affectionately call the Atholl Arms. Its like going to visit close friends, the staff even know us by name on arrival, if we do have a problem.....which is rare.....its sorted out immediately. I have to travel away on business a lot and always end up staying in large impersonal chain hotels.So when I'm away with family I look for the more intimate family run hotel, you cannot beat the A.A. for this. This is a four star hotel at 3 star prices........it really is a little gem in the Scottish highlands

We recently stayed for the weekend on a three nights for two deal. Hotel full of character. Particular highlight were the staff who made us so welcome and went out of their way to make our visit so enjoyable.

The breakfast staff were superb, even offering to make toast for Sue, who was ill in bed on the first day. Staff took time out from thier work to chat and to make sure we had everything we needed - even to the point of letting us know what meals weren't available when we went into the Bothy Bar.

We have previously stayed at the Moulin and this was our first stop at the Atholl Arms. Staff have made sure that we will be coming back as soon as possible.
