Pitlochry - Sunnybank Guest House and Garden Apartment
January 2009
My partner and I decided to have a few days away but not too far from Edinburgh. We were very fortunate to find this hidden gem just off the main street and perfectly situated for visiting the beautiful surrounding contryside and ofcourse the House of Bruar for a ltitle retail therapy.
We were greeted on arrival by the owners (Ina and Sandy) who immediately made us feel very welcome. We were shown to our en-suite bedroom which was very well appointed and spotless. There were tea/coffee making facilities, television, hairdryer and after our first night I can say a very comfortable bed.
Breakfast was super and set us up for the rest of the day. There was cereal, fruit juice, porridge (if requested), tea, coffee and as much as toast as you wanted, and as if that was not enough we both opted to try the full scottish breakfast. This was very good and all freshly cooked to order, which we enjoyed at our leisure.
The owners were very knowledgeable about Pitlochry and surrounding areas and helped us plan our day, which enabled us to make the most of our time.
Whilst there we asked the owners if we could see the Garden flat as friends of ours were thinking of taking a trip north during the school summer holidays. The flat was very well appointed, spotless and very well equipped with everything that a family would require for their stay. (Dogs are welcome too).
We had a lovely stay at Sunnybank and we would recommend this Guest House to anyone wishing to stay in Pitlochry and we both agreed we will definitely go back.
