My wife and I went to stay in this hotel over the Easter weekend, paying more than we would have liked for a stay in Pitlochry as we were going to do some hill walking. We booked an ensuite room which looked nice on the internet site.
On arrival we were taken to a cold dirty and poorly decorated room which we were not impressed with. We were told that "you have your own shower and bath, which is ensuite but just down the hall". As we are young I think the owner was trying his luck and being relatively easy going we just laughed with each other about how poor the place was and went walking. Upon return I tried to go in the shower, which didnt work and was filthy, and then the bath which hadnt been used by the looks of things for a long time and was also very dirty.
At this time I complained and we were shown to another room which was fairly nice, but the damage was already done.
At breakfast time various things from the menu were not available which added to our poor impression.
So all in all this is a poor hotel.
