“Such a great B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2011

This B&B represents all that is excellent about what B&B's should be. We stayed for only 1 night in September and on reflection we wished that we had had the time to stay at Pitlochry for longer.. Our hosts Tont and Irene treated us like part of their family. Very gracious and welcoming. They were interested in our travels in the Uk and in our life in Australia. Tony even helped with the bags which was unexpected but very welcome. Just a small example of how our hosts made us feel at home. Dunmurray Lodge is a beautiful building set in great gardens overlooking the town but only a short walk to shops, restaurants, pubs etc. Loved the location and the town in particular. We stayed in the Kerr room which was spacious and well appointed. Ensuite was a good size as well. They obviously pay a lot of attention to detail in the rooms. Very classy. The lodge is set well away from any traffic so was very peaceful and we had a good sleep Breakfast was terrific and plenty of it. Would definitely stay here again and would suggest that travellers shortlist this B&B when visting Pitlochry. Many thanks Tony & Irene.

“Wonderful, cosy B&B”

Dunmurray Lodge has everything you would expect from a B&B: cosy, clean rooms, helpful and friendly owners, who make you feel really welcome, delicious and veeery generous breakfast (I could hardly walk after tucking into all the sausages, eggs, fruit puddings, bacon, etc., forgetting that I have ordered waffels on top of everything else). But is also special in a way - everything is so nicely decorated and Tony & Irene pay so much attention to details. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back if visiting Pitlochry again!

“TOP OF THE TOP WAY TO START YOUR TRIP IN SCOTLAND”

Stayed unfortunatelly only for 1 night and regretted it for the rest of our journey.... We arrived very late at night and Tony was up waiting for us with a big smile on his face. The next morning we emptied all his breakfast stock, literally everything was absolutely delicious...TOP CHEF!!!! Both Tony and his lovely wife was willing to fulfill any need we might had. He was more than eager to sit down with us and draft the best route to see the most we could from the Highlands in the next 2 days. Tony your Greeks will definitely be back to stay longer!!!!! THANK U FOR EVERYTHING :-)

“Dozens of special touches!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

Just back from our lovely stop-over night at the Dunmurray. The building is a traditional beauty and our room was very comfortable with many high quality and thoughtful additions. We were very pleasantly surprised to see so many wonderful little touches when we were paying such a reasonable rate. We were also glad of the rear car park as public parking in Pitlochry is usually difficult. The location was ideal and we enjoyed the fresh hill-side air and that smoke-fire smell as we walked easily to the town centre. We stayed in a variety of high standard B&Bs during our trip but the breakfast offered by the Dunmurray was in a league of its own. As a vegetarian, I was delighted to be so well catered for (guys they do quorn sausages!) and my husband (the meat-eater) tucked into a delicious morning meal too. They get so much right, from heated plates and really warm beans to extra chocolatey hot chocolate and properly chilled yoghurts. The pride and care shown by Tony and Irene is obvious and we would happily return to the Dunmurray Lodge - those kind details really matter.

“Absolutely wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

I wrote a review and I don't see it anywhere, so here goes again. Irene and Tony are like going home to family. They are more than accommodating. We had the pleasure of staying in the Stewart Room, a lovely room. As we were there for 4 for nights, Tony was so helpful as to take our luggage after we unpacked and bring it up when we were ready to go without us asking. Breakfast is wonderful. They are so very friendly and helpful. The hardest part of leaving was saying goodbye to instant friends. We highly recommend this delightful B & B. Two nights we ate a small picnic on the patio and felt so at home. Wonderful home, wonderful people and wonderful special help and don't forget the breakfast!
