Stayed here recently and was disappointed that, even though it was cold outside, the heating was hardly on. It seemed to go on and off at strange times and we ended up having to go to bed wearing socks and cardigans. Further compounded by the draughty windows. No extra covers were in the room and a thin duvet at this time of year in Scotland is not sufficient. The en-suite was small and if you were above 5'6 you would have hurt yourself trying to use the shower. Helpful, friendly staff, good breakfast and ample parking. However, if I am paying almost £80 for a room, I expect to be warm and comfortable.

The weather was very cold when we stayed in Pitlochry .

Despite this we had radiators on timers in our rooms and we kept finding them turned down when we were out.

We were delighted to find the Guest House had a sitting room and looked forward to sitting there after our evening meal in the town .Imagine our confusion to find it locked !!! When queried the next morning we were told it could not be left unlocked without staff around !

We were also ENCOURAGED to go to a particular restaurant ...we didn't !

So the service was adequate but there are many B&B s in Pitlochry which make you much more welcome .

Fern Cottage Restaurant was excellent and full of atmosphere

I stayed here for a night while travelling through the area last year. It was late in the evening so I needed to find somewhere quick, I found this place on the main road into Pitlochry. The room rates were very well priced and I was greeted very warmly by one of the owners. My room was a good size, had a very comfy bed and good ensuite facilities. It is only a short stroll into the main part of town. I got a very good night sleep - it was very quiet!! The dining room is bright and clean and the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had at a B&B. Unfortunately I was only in Pitlochry for one night but I would love to return one day in the summer if I am in Scotland. This place is definitely one of the best guest houses I have stayed at - excellent value, great staff, great, quiet location and excellent breakfast.

I booked four nights here and as a single female traveller was made to feel more than welcome. The room was spotless and the staff were very gracious. Breakfast was more than ample and just lovely really. Would definately return.
