“The perfect guesthouse ...”

We can only recommend this B&B. The above mentioned rates are an understatement. Jilly (the lady who ownes and runs the place) is a lovely and incredible serviceminded person. Every morning we got the most delicious breakfast and some hints what to do nearby. The perfect location to make excursions in the near surroundings or you can just relax and enjoy Pitlochry with it's restaurants, theatre and local entertainments. The highlights of our stay were without a doubt the 3-island tour from Oban, the Mountain Safari with a guy called Sandy and a visit in the nearby distillery Edradour (Scotlands smallest). We also managed to view some Highland Games and learned a lot of Scottish history and clan stories. After 7 days in Pitlochry we spent 3 days in Edinburgh and although this is a nice city (not to mention the goose-bumps we got at the Tattoo), we prefer the Highlands with it's spectacular scenery and wildlife.

“Gem of a B&B - Quiet and Picturesque”

We stayed here with my in-laws and booked the 2 rooms at Rowanlea for a 3 night stay in Aug 10. The B&B is located in a quiet and picturesque part of Pitlochry with a wonderful view from the rooms. The layout was ideal for us as the breakfast room is situated between the 2 rooms each having their own patio entrance. The bedrooms are very spacious with a superking sized bed, contemporary and modern furnishings and a large bathroom. All very clean and modern.

Breakfast was from a menu with a good choice of hot food that had to be chosen the evening before but Jill was very accommodating with any special requests. This B&B is a gem and is ideally situated as it is only a short walk to Pitlochry town centre. We definitely will be back.

“Best b&b we've ever stayed in! More like a boutique hotel than b&b really.”

We stayed here for a long weekend last month and the room was lovely. Huge and very well equipped - dvd player, own access to the garden (where we saw a deer one night!) and fantastic walk in wet room. Gorgeous gardens, peaceful and yet only a five minute walk into town. A fantastic b&b - more like a boutique hotel really. We will be back!

“Perfect one night stay as part of our honeymoon, would have liked to stay longer!”

This is a lovely B&B. Rooms are fantastic, they are just as big as they look on the pictures, no funny camera work. The views and the massive bed were both fantastic. I'd say the only down side would be the walk to and from town. About a 5 minute walk down a relatively steep hill. We had climbed Ben Nevis a few days before and our legs ached on the way down and on the way back from town (not helped by twisting my ankle at the bottom of the drive) But if you don't mind a short walk I'd definately recommend this place. It feels like your in the middle of no-where.

“Beautiful bed and breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2009

We stayed for one night at the beginning of September, joining relatives who were there for two nights. They had booked first, and it was a great choice. The room is large and attractively furnished, and the bed is comfortable and huge, a superking I think, and it can be taken apart to make two smaller ones. I had a wonderful view from my bed, across to the hills opposite. Access is direct through patio doors to the room, so no need to enter the main house when you come and go. Altogether a very peaceful and pleasant place to stay, and I would hope to go back for longer some time.
